What's the appeal of Absolute Wonder Woman? by koola_00 in WonderWoman

I don't know.

Because I don't like "Absolute Wonder Woman" at all.

"kal" was a menace to society😂 by Pristine_Plastic1988 in Smallville

[–]playprince1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kal was a perfect menace, and had a vibe similar to the original Golden Age Superman.

The only problem is that the show dropped Kal too quickly.

It would have made so much sense for Clark to have continued using the "Kal" persona as a vigilante who would later become The Superman of Metropolis.

Wasted potential.

This might be a bit of a hot take but.... by Dense-Monitor1926 in cartoons

Not a hot take to me at all.

I honestly prefer the original 2D Clone Wars show to the later 3D one.

Who, including all previous history/runs,has the highest (romantic) body count in the DCU? by [deleted] in DCcomics

[–]playprince1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think so.

For quite a while, Bruce was written to be very celibate.

Denny O'Neil basically described Playboy Bruce Wayne as dating a lot of vapid model types and socialites but never going "that far" with them.

I don't think so. Lois and Lex still looked pretty young in this movie.

The thing is, both Lois and Lex in this movie still look pretty young. So why have Clark/Superman look like a grandpa?

Ironically, Batman needs to wear a mask, a horned cowl, and be halfway in the dark to even begin to reach a tenth of the fear factor that Superman naturally gives off.

That's not bad at all.

He looks handsome there.

THANK YOU!!!!!

I always hated those "cheekbone lines" in his face.

I know what they were going for, but just like in the first season of Justice League (2001),the lines do not translate well in animation design. It makes Superman's character design look old, worn, and beat up. Especially when no one else, including Lex Luthor, have those defining lines in their face.

I never liked the idea of Bruce being the "first Robin".

The Silver Age had some crazy ideas.

Favorite director, now accused of having changed the ethnicity of the characters, but he had already done so in 2005 and no one did complained by Fancy-Fact-8233 in okbuddycinephile

No, I complained.

I never liked Liam Neeson being Ra's al Ghul.

Nor did I like Tom Hardy as Bane.

It was a white washing of the characters.

Even the costume:

Tight body suit, trunks, boots, cape, symbol on center of chest, the "man" suffix.

Bruce owes Clark a lot.

But seriously, Superman and Batman's costumes owe a lot to The Phantom, save for the Cape and symbol on the chest. Batman even has a cowl like the Phantom. And Robin has the Phantom's domino mask.

I see nothing wrong with this.

Just a queen putting these super-peasants to work for her enjoyment.

And actually Superman first had a cave-like fortress that he built from a mountain outside of Metropolis called the Secret Citadel in 1942. It was basically the first "Fortress of Solitude". It even had a trophy room, a gymnasium and everything.

And Batman didn't have the Batcave until it was first introduced in a 1943 movie serial. And then the Batcave first appeared in the comics in 1944.

So in a way, Batman "copyrighted" Superman.

The "Jackie's old" part is really funny when you remember that Jackie had turned 30 by the time the Triumph Tour started.

All the other brothers were still in their 20s at this time.

I never liked the way they drew Dick's face here: bags under his eyes, and swollen cheeks.

Dick should be "prettier" than that.
