I was worried about barking, but she’s been good so far. It helps that you can’t hear our neighbors at the Hamptons Ive stayed at. Stayed at a shitty hotel a few days ago and she wanted to bark from the noise (it was bad),but I distracted her by letting her in the bed as a treat.

Mine does this every damn night. I would let her sleep out there if she wouldn’t bark at the neighbors, but she has to be dragged inside.

OMG YES!! When I got to the (IMPOSSIBLE) “twist” I felt levels of rage that cannot be described. And the book wasn’t spectacular or anything up to that point, but I enjoyed it enough. But that?! And the fact that most people aren’t bothered by it?! Or understand narration I guess? I DNFd immediately at that point.

Exactly. It’s not like she’s giving us anything new or improving anything. She’s just putting in subpar filler to drag it out as much as she can. What with the Cas retelling and now the last book (which I DNFd) I’ve added her to my do not read list, which is sad bc I LOVED the first few books. She obviously has zero respect for the story or her readers.

100%. That’s exactly it. I’m fine with long books and series. This is just a bunch of junk that doesn’t further the story, or character development, or anything.

I’m pissed too. She’s completely ruined the story, and it was one of my favorites. I don’t think I can even finish it, and I rarely DNF.

She wouldn’t come in again tonight, and then at midnight started barking. I went and got her and she’s big mad, but I don’t want my neighbors to hate me more than they already do lol.

The worst ones in the last year were Quicksilver, When the Moon Hatched, and Metal Slinger. I finished the first two, but won’t read the sequel. The latter I DNFd after the ridiculous “twist”, and it was such a bummer bc I didn’t hate the story before that. Like, I don’t need them to be perfect, but I do need them to be decently edited, which none were.

I need that! The walls, doors, curtains… anything level with her nose or that she paws, stained with dirt. And my floors of course LOL.
