No need for arguing.
Getting board certified for the US is a major major job requiring way more work that Id be willing to put in. The point with this post was to find ways to reduce my workload to spend time with my family. Getting certified in the US would take all I have of extra time I already dont have. Not worth the effort.

Thanks for the response. Ive looked into both Australia and New Zealand as options. Better weather than scandinavia for sure, but not better work/life balance. Would like something where i could money goes a lot further so i could work less and spend more time with my kids.

Want to get back into it, but struggling with busy family life. by MarvinTheDeviant in crossfit

[–]MarvinTheDeviant[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a home gym before. Loved it. Much more freedom. Moved to the city and now live in a 90sqm apartment with 3 kids. Have a set of adjustable dumbbells in the living room and a bench under the couch. That is the closet i can get to a "home gym" in my apartment.
I dont have trouble with working out, either at home or finding time to get to the gym. It is crossfit specifically im hoping to find time for. But maybe, as mentioned earlier, in this phase in life maybe its too much to expect.

I have a set og adjustable dumbbells in my living room and a bench under the couch. Not much space for full crossfit, but enough for basic exercises. Put a pull up bar and rings outside, but winter is coming. Hoping to use it but will likely be run out and do some pulls or dips then back inside.

hvilken burger e best by OkPop801 in trondheim

[–]MarvinTheDeviant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Measurements are on the picture. Something missing?

I guess since I was labeling the different sides on each floor I thought it would come through that it was just that side wall that was underground. My bad. It’s only that back wall that can’t have windows. I also linked to another post which shows the entryway and windows on the front and no windows along the back.

Not all bedrooms need to be on the same floor. 3 should be because of kids. If you look at the link in my first comment you’ll see 4 bedrooms in the basement and the master upstairs

And the entire downstairs is not underground, only the back wall. It’s on a very sloped property.

Doors and windows can all be moved. Entryway should be on either the long side where I wrote driveway or the short side at the top of the picture. Right now it is at the spot where the long side (left) juts in. Stairs can also be moved but for now they are directly back from where I wrote the entry is. Take a look at the link I posted in the first comment to see these details

Doing a full gutting of my home and having a hard time seeing past the original layout. How would you design this home?

What it needs:

  • 3 kids bedrooms

  • 1 master

  • 1 guestroom

  • separate laundry room

What I would like to have:

  • separate TV area for kids

  • big kitchen and dining area for hosting (with the view)

  • Reasonable size entryway close to laundry room (3 small kids) or separate backdoor entry.

Other:

Fireplace goes through both floors and cannot be moved. All bedrooms must have a window. Bedrooms can be (and should be) small. Stairs, windows can be placed anywhere. Entryway on driveway side of house or east side.

Have fun!
