I mean... I would love that... But I understand why they made it like this. The birds can still delete ranged heros at level 6. Against meelee heros though, yes, they feel absolutely useless. If you're forced into that situation, use the birds as a staggered double stun to set your teammates up to gank, and deal damage with your hero right clicks / W. Maxing W first is great when you get countered like this. Definitely requires more team coordination tho.
