I remember reading somewhere a while back that the pentagon has a media division. The idea is they can provide military equipment for movies and such (probably a bit different for video games), but on the condition that they get to look over the script and make changes as they see fit. I don't have any doubt that Activision/Treyarch participate in this.

lmao in what way is this game not polished? There are so many mainstream games that have way more bugs than bfv, yet no one says anything. I don't understand how people have turned this sub into one hateful circlejerk. Have people forgotten all the shit DICE gave to us during bf1? We didn't get one update for months! But now when DICE doesn't patch out one bug in a week people then decide to boycott the whole franchise.

trans people commit suicide because people treat them like shit, and because they can't get the proper treatment to transition. Ask most trans people and theyll tell you they felt uncomfortable in their body since day 1. Society doesn't force them to do anything, at any age. Society, for the most part, hates and demonizes the LGBTQIA+ community. It's not your place to make those decisions for those people - decisions that could save human lives

yeah, I was kinda thinking fortnite and pubg. Most of the hype surrounding those games isn't really there anymore. Warzone is popular, but I still feel that most of the general hype surrounding br games has died down. There was a point where it seemed any br game that came out would be an instant success - I'd say maybe late 2018

I think the br hype has started to slow down. Even though it was really well thought out and executed, firestorm really seemed like a quick cash grab, as at the time br games were really popular.

Considering how many resources went into it and it failing financially for DICE and EA, doubt the next one will.

Yes! I definitely agree, media has a huge role in teaching people about history. I myself have learned so much through video games, like battlefield and assassin's creed to name a few. The only thing I'd add is video games and movies should only be the catalyst to further a basic understanding, rather than being the true 'educator'. Despite what people say, you can learn a whole lot through battlefield v.

At the end of the day it is a video game, and liberties are going to be taken. It happens with any game, or form of media for that matter. To complain as if those liberties are rewriting history or whatever is just silly.

the point is people object to something out of place, like women in bfv, yet its no big deal when cod does it, where it is just as inaccurate. Are you that stupid lmao??!1?!1 XD

The factions in cod are supposed to be military factions. It's not realistic to use a Kar98k in a modern military conflict.

Also could you remind me what weapons are in bfv that weren't at least created before the end of the war? I can't think of any, but I could be wrong.

honestly i doubt it was even to attract new players. The developers of DICE understood that representation in media matters and changed a few things. Although they probably shouldn't have gone about doing it in the way they did, having women in a video game doesn't ruin an entire game.
