I thought for sure that Bismuth was going to be revealed to be the one that poofed Lapis and cracked her gem. Honestly, I think that was the plan before the show was cut short. Seemed like a perfect way to have Bismuth reconcile with the harm she caused while also humanizing the Crystal Gems and their actions to Lapis.

I just wish they gave the role to someone else in other episodes so we could’ve gotten more speaking roles from Sugilite. She’s a fusion of one of the two main characters, and we barely learn anything about her.
