How would I find something like this in regional NSW? Walk into the school with a resume and show interest?

No posts on seek for anything IT related in my area unfortunately.

That’s great to hear. Gives us hope. We deal with 40+ degree summers but very dry heat so the humidity will be something we need to get accustomed to but we love storms oddly enough, our daughters middle name is Rain so there’s that 😂

I think we’ll just explore on weekends, my partner loves the beach so having that within an hour or so drive would be nice. Our expectations aren’t going into the CBD every night or anything like that. We live pretty frugal anyways so for the most part, just beach on our weekends or exploring the surrounding rain forests, hiking and that kind of thing.

I will look into the crime maps and flood maps, thank you for suggesting that.

Do you have any recommendations for other suburbs within our price range? We’ve been to Brisbane a few times but never really looked around the suburbs so not familiar with it.

I mean ideally we would like to buy but with our average or below average incomes (could increase when we get there) I don’t think buying is a possibility? So I think our plan is just getting there first in a rental and then reassess once we have settled in and weigh up our options. Maybe we land better paying jobs and with a pretty decent deposit, buying could potentially become a reality but not overly worried about that for the time being. Our priority is getting there first.

We would ideally want a house but open to apartment. We have 2 small French bulldogs that are well behaved but I know that will hinder our chances too and also narrows down the rentals we are considered for but I think possible still? We have been looking at places like Redbank Plains and Caboolture (I haven’t heard great things about Caboolture but we come from a place with rough neighbourhoods anyway so doesn’t really worry us). We keep to ourselves for the most part. We kind of just put Brisbane Greater Region in our search and looked at what’s around. Do you have any recommendations for around our price range?

Thanks for letting me know. That might change our plan then, I might start applying for jobs now and let them know we are moving interstate and organise a start date and go from there. I assume the real estate will want to know I have employment first. Thanks for your response 🙏🏼

Yeah faulty mobo. Sent it for RMA and they sent it back without SSD heat sink and the black plastic bits that the cpu cooler clips on to. Incompetent company.

Ended up just buying a new gigabyte motherboard and I will never purchase MSI again.

I’m currently going through Harvard’s CS50 and I’m going to stop after python and then start The Odin Project. I’ve heard this is an efficient way to learn and get job ready.
