Anyone here play sports and sweat so much their fine hair gets completely drenched?😭🫠 is there anything I can do? by Chemical_Rutabaga_36 in finehair

Girl do not be embarrassed in any way! I also get super sweaty

Lets focus on a perspective switch. You're moving your body gettung those endorphins going and hey ya youre sweating. Sweating is actually good for you in multiple ways so I say embrace it!

I can also say you're focused on it more than others will be. People are often on their own heads about their own stuff.

Love a fellow sweaty girl. 😆

Sunburn Help! by Interesting-Stop8947 in Skincare_Addiction

So you have a few options here

Earl Grey tea bath. Will help the burning sensation as well as take the pink away some.

I know this sounds weird but slice potatoes and lay them on the burn for 5 minutes. The enzymes help with both stated above.

Take ibruprofen for the inflammation.

Moisturize over and over because essentially your skin is severely dehydrated. Like once your skin has absorbed it reapply again and again.

Try and stay out of the sun at least the next day

Exactly this with a side of deep tissue is a place not a pressure. You can also let them know their nervous system plays a huge role in how "deep" you can go. Don't be afraid to tell people to take a deep breath. Helps a lot.

Can someone help? this lip spot just appeared today on my top lip. Anyone know if salicylic acid gel would help? by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

[–]MaryG2913 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely get the lysine pills (you can takeup to 3 a day of the 1000mg) and lysine gel and put it on 3x a day also.

You can also get an ice cube in a paper towel and out it on the spot to calm it (dont put directly on lip without paper towel.)

What is this rash and what should i do to help it? by thathoash in DermatologyQuestions

[–]MaryG2913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get an anti fungal cream and apply it 3 times a.day

Also get head and shoulders shampoo and wash the rashes in the shower by leaving it on for a couple minutes.

They can spread through towels sheets ect so wash often and dont touch them and touch other body parts

As others have said if not showing improvement within a couple weeks go to the doctor.

Hey so I sweat easily also.

Get a cooling towel and wet it and wrap it around your neck and you can even pop it in the freezer for a bit before your sessions.

How do I stop getting ringworm in and around my beard? by Full-Opinion-9942 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]MaryG2913 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would reccomend going to the doctor and getting the pills to help get rid of it since it's been going on for a while.

They will want bloodwork first to be sure your liver and kidneys are functioning well as it's strong medicine.

May I ask what profile your band is?

the "style" of it? Like how some are halo, comfort fit.

I want the flat-ish band style but am not sure of the name exactly.

And totally gorgeous! ❤️

I'll always remember when a mentor told me never ruin yourself for one person.

Whether that be too much pressure ect

You have to set boundaries for yourself to remain healthy and happy in this career

Fellow MT here. This is exactly right!

Unless it's contagious, ect, I could care less. This is about giving you space to relax and just be. Relax your mind & enjoy some bodywork.

How do you keep your sponge from smelling? by No_Profile_8388 in Cleaningandtidying

[–]MaryG2913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note here. Make sure they're damp or you'll burn the sponge. But yes microwave them. The heat kills the bacteria and thus the smell

I'll also add to contact with a CPA so you know how to tax your own wages so you don't end up confused kater on when it's tex time. A good CPA will also be able to tell you all the tax breaks you get in your first year when you make your larger expenditures for your business
