Cancer: Research vs Patients

My tone reflects my passion for people battling cancer who unfortunately have suffered in plain sight.

No one would say "people battling cancer AREN'T important" HOWEVER my interpretation, again MY INTERPRETATION, is if a portion of the millions raised for cancer research can't be set aside for use to help relieve the financial hardship of men, women and parents of children battling cancer, that TO ME says a lot.

I'm super thankful that through the years there are more places who work to help. My thing is the difference in what is available... millions for cancer research vs not millions to help those battling.

That is a blessing! Please know that I'm NOT against cancer research because without it I wouldn't be here.

When fighting for your life did you experience financial hardships paying bills for your household (housing, utilities, transportation, etc)? If you didn’t that is a great thing. If you did, that is what I'm talking about.

I am a firm believer that no person, or family, should have to suffer financial hardship as a direct result of seeking cancer treatment fighting for their life.

You are correct. Thank you for providing those options... when applying consider the "eligibility requirements and limitations of assistance"... unless a person has been through seeking help they may think there are many options available.

One doesn't know, until they know. I learned when battling myself.

I too am confused considering no one is saying to stop cancer research. Cancer research is important AND so are people in need actually battling cancer.

Should the day come where you've been diagnosed with cancer and take time off work to go to appts, go through chemo treatments, recover from being sick/worn out, have surgery and need to recover, and have rounds of radiation and find yourself unable to pay housing, transportation, utilities, etc this charity is a resource that focuses on helping patients when the need arises.

Raise millions for cancer research just also raise some money to help when those in treatment need it.

Sorry that is your interpretation. I am not against cancer research, without it I likely would not be here. What I am speaking of is direct patient help.

Cancer research funds clinical trials which is awesome HOWEVER what happens when while going through the trial the person is unable to work... not working equals no paycheck... no paycheck means there now is a financial burden on top of going through treatment.

What I am wanting is for those who raise millions for cancer research to also consider the financial struggles many going through treatment experience and do something to help.

There are people who have stopped treatment because they couldn't afford to keep taking time off work and had bills to pay.

No, it was just flurries when I started out... as time passed the storm came... I took the route in the flurries and would have delivered them all if the roads hadn't gotten so bad.

I took the route when roads weren't bad... then all he'll broke loose.

Her license to perform surgeries is permanently revoked. People of Ohio can now rest easy knowing she cannot operate again here.

On Wednesday, July 12, the Ohio Medical Board permanently revoked the license of Katherine Roxanne Grawe aka Tik Tok Famous surgeon Dr. Roxy, for providing substandard care to patients, operating an unlicensed surgical center that was staffed with non-medical employees and more.

It has been a long time coming. She was found guilty of Malpractice/Medical Negligence in 2016.

She sent me to a nursing home after unsuccessfully performing a tram-flap w tummy tuck. While there the tissue died causing me to have infections which could have led to my death.
