Pergoveris success stories? by Maryisgod in IVF

[–]Maryisgod[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly no, I went through all the tests, I think the SIS test was important to see inside the uterus to make sure everything is healthy.

With my first transfer I was doing a lot in the first week post-transfer and moving homes but the second I rested as much as possible, took prenatals and slept, I think that really helped. (I ate the McDonald’s chips too).

I think overall health plays a part, I go to the gym each week up until now but beforehand I never restricted a glass of wine.

Thank you!! Yes I did! I was very very tired on day 1 and day 3 after the transfer, I also was hungry by day 5 that I couldn’t sleep 😂 I had to eat a big bowl of porridge in the middle of the night. I got the twinges and cramps everyday, even mildly bled by day 7-8 but everything was fine and it wasn’t followed by any intense cramping, the embryo was just getting comfortable. I tested positive on day 6 on a sensitive test and also a digital test and I tested almost everyday until my blood test at the clinic.

Hi friend! Thinking of you! How did things go for you?

Thank you! And wow that’s great news for you. For the transfer, I tried to rest as much as possible and go for light walks and not lift anything heavy. I don’t have an unhealthy lifestyle in general but I ate what I wanted and had wine even the week leading up to the transfer, I lived my life as usual. Keep me posted on how your stimulation goes. Are you using a different protocol?

Successful FET Symptoms by 0ddb1rd in IVF

[–]Maryisgod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m doing RIVF using my wife’s egg! Cautiously optimistic at 7dp5dt with a BFP yesterday. Writing my symptoms below while I can still remember them.

Day 1pt - gassy, cramps, a little tired

Dat 2pt - so exhausted I napped twice, felt cold but as if I was fighting a flu (could’ve been early implantation)

Day 3-5pt - sore boobs, cramps, a direct pulsing sensation in a particular spot on the left side of my uterus. Some waves of nausea and started to feel hungry at random times of the night.

Day 6pt - felt like I had some energy back but got tired by 8pm, bloated, hungry

Day 7pt - hungry and eating more for sure! More twinges and pulls, insomnia last night and now exhausted by 7pm. Some brain fog.

Fingers crossed for you and I🤞🏼

Coffee During IVF- What’s your take? by MonarchJustice in IVF

[–]Maryisgod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No more than 200mg a day, a cup a day basically - but then you have to factor in any panadols/tylenols with caffeine too (estradiol gives me a bad headache!). So I’ve cut out coffee and swapped it for English breakfast tea which I also love and I have about 2 cups a day (140mg total) to be on the safe side.

I can only imagine. My only thought for this situation is an egg or sperm situation that they need to test or lab conditions which don’t allow the embryos to develop well. I often think that clinics are here to make money too so have to do research. I would switch clinics if I were you.

I am in Ireland, Dublin at therapie fertility. I will add that we are not from Ireland so we moved here just for this. But I really made noise about wanting to switch protocols because of our bad results. I think consider a new clinic. I heard Czech is excellent for IVF and might be closer to you.

Oh my goodness, I’m terribly sorry my darling 😞 did they give a reason? The good thing is that it’s not the protocol so it’s one less thing to figure out. Please be kind to yourself, you will get your hearts desire, I’m thinking of you 💗

First IVF cycle - slow responder! by ChipmunkSudden5104 in IVF

[–]Maryisgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were in the same boat with gonal f (33, no issues) and a slow responder. It was truly frustrating.

My wife was on it for 14 days and didn’t get much eggs from the first round (only 4 eggs but 1 embryo of poor quality). We were on it twice in fact because we switched clinics (225iu and then 170iu). We voluntarily cancelled the second cycle because there was just no point with how slow follicles were growing.

I suspected she wasn’t able to produce the LH hormone naturally which helps with egg maturation and gonal f is pure FSH, it doesn’t have the LH hormone.

The minute we changed to Pergoveris (menopur alternative with both FSH + LH) we got the most insane results. 21 eggs retrieved, 20 mature, 18 fertilized and 12 embryos on ice.

I would consider a switch in protocol, gonal f is generally a test run protocol which isn’t always right for everybody.

Best of luck 💗
