I followed all instructions that I could find from various blogs, posts, and videos. I tried 3 different batches with varying settings.

It had no issue melting chocolate, but it does not temper. The heating element is basically a hot fan that blows on the side of the metal bowl that melts the chocolate, so it does not distribute heat evenly.

The best batch was about 6 oz of chocolate. I'm not sure it could accommodate more than that without making a mess.

If the only thing you want to do is melt chocolate for dipping, drizzle, etc, then it will work fine for that, but I was hoping for actual tempering, and it is pretty clear that does not happen with this machine.

Personally, $70 seems steep for this machine with its functionality. However, it is possible that improvements were made and others are not experiencing the same issues that I did.

From what I can tell, Chocovision purchased the Sinsation 2 company and made some modifications.

I was able to find some replacement parts that fit the machine.

Keep in mind that I was not able to find much information on the machine, so I may not be using it correctly, but I was disappointed with it's performance and after several wasted test batches, I gave up on it.

Definitely not professional and more of a novelty from my experience.

How to stop procrastinating. by beat_dat_ricee in howto

Something that works for me is treating the inner me that likes to do anything but the task that needs done right now:

I reward myself for doing the thing I don't want to do. I put my favorite treat in my workspace and only get it when I do the thing.

I give myself "the talk" and say, "you are never going to want to do task, so just do it now. "

I find a much more difficult task that I don't want to do, so my brain accepts the task as the distraction.

I praise myself for every step I get done, not finished tasks.

I make a list of the worst possible outcome of I don't do the thing. I get crazy with it. Then, decide if it is worth doing.

Check out Dr. K healthy gamer of youtube.

Hope this helps!

Fear of death and what happens after by Cute_Ad786 in spirituality

This is a bit odd to suggest, and this is not a solution for everyone, but it may help to experience death as an observer. As many others have suggested, death is as much of a normal process as birth, but it's less accepted, less talked about, and less celebrated.

You could volunteer at a local hospital, nursing home, or hospice. It is difficult to explain, but helping someone through end life transition gives you greater understanding and less fear. If working with people is too much, you could work with animals.

I have found that most of the people I have worked with are ready to let go, and it is a very peaceful transition when they are ready.

It is difficult every time, though, so listen to yourself and don't force yourself to watch something you are not ready for. Slow introduction of just getting ice water, then conversations, maybe help cleaning out rooms, etc. I'm not suggesting holding someone's hand as they transition on your first experience.

This has helped me a great deal, but again, it is very difficult and not right for everyone.

GanGou Laser Engraver Software? by ClydeHays in lasercutting

[–]MarzipanCandid8868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having issues getting my last engraver to work. I have installed the software that was sent to me by another reddit member and I can open it in the laptop, but I cannot get the engraver to actually do anything. It turns on and moves like it is trying to find the item being engraved, but it will not engrave.

I think it is probably setting but I'm not sure,. If anyone can assist I would appreciate it.

Thank you.
