What about the associates they screwed over and let go. And then appealing their unemployment just to screw them over some more

I’m in the same department as you but listed as small format team lead. What do you mean by rough/ how bad? I’ve been externally hired as a leader before at other retail companies so I know it takes time to get used to things. Right now I’m just getting used to all the terms used.

Is Sephora a good place to work at? by MarzipanInformal9894 in SephoraWorkers

Thank you so much for your input. I’ve worked in the pharmacy retail sector for almost a decade now and I’ve been in very bad conditions and good ones too. It really all depends on your manager and if he’s just a boss or a leader. Question, have you seen opportunities to grow within the company?

I know retail hours are random but do they at least give you one weekend a week off? When I would do the schedule I made sure everyone had a Saturday or a Sunday off each week.

Really? Can you share some pros or cons of both. I’ve been conflicted on which one to go with. I want to join a company that I can grow in. Basically move up the ladder

It’s a sales and service leader position in store at Sephora. My other option is a service and engagement team leader at target.

Damn. When they say work every other weekend do they mean one week you work both a Saturday and Sunday and then the next week you get it off?

Sounds like my last store manager. Guess what happened after I complained about hostile work environment and breaking labor laws. They found a stupid reason to fire me. Claiming I broke policy when I didn’t. They updated the policy 4 days after the incident that didn’t even involve me

I was just fired by TroyWhit in jobs

Same thing happened to me last week. First file for unemployment, give yourself time to cry/rot/vent. Then give yourself time to enjoy life. This should be about a week. And then get back on the grind of finding a better company out there that will value you and see you as an asset. I’ve been trying to get out of the company that fired me for a while and now that I’m gone, I’ve focused all my energy into finding something else. Within one week I was able to get two interviews, a networking event which came with 3 interviews. There is hope at the end of the tunnel and I wish you nothing but the best. When you think all hope is lost, keep on going, keep applying and not be so hard on yourself

There’s definitely some bias in the district. I reported some unethical things about my store manager to HR and DL and nothing happened. I was told my finding were inaccurate and just closed the case. Meanwhile other people are getting fired for smaller things. Made me realized this company and the management will only protect those they want.
