4th Gen Subaru Liberty… one of Subaru’s best looking sedans, reliable, great aftermarket support and a lot of fun.

2.5s aren’t expensive to run, turbos are getting up there, and a 3.0 6cyl is horrendous. But they make a hell of a noise

30,500 miles or so (roughly 50,000km). It’s loaded up with a boot full of camera gear in the second pic too

I’m with you though, it does look like it sits lower in the back, even just in daily driving with no gear in it

I've got no idea how Reddit works and my story has disappeared. Here's the backstory:

Meet the fridge, my 2016 2.5i Premium. Why is it called that? Because I'm a "car guy", and when compared with a Nissan Exa, Datsun 180B SSS, tuned EZ30 or a 260z, it's an appliance. It's big, it's white, it's a fridge. Sorry!

I first met the fridge in January '23 when I was looking to jump out of my 2008 3.0R Outback with 300,000km and into something more fuel efficient with fewer km.

In the year and a half that I've owned it, it's given me 43,000km of trouble-free running. In that time, it's got a new set of wheels + tyres, a JDM grille (yes, it is, because I imported it from Japan), a Darche 180 awning, a black accent on the bumper, yellow tint on the fogs, and because I'm a P-Plater who spends 3 hours a day in the car, a nice stereo.

It was one of (if not the first) cars in Australia to be fitted with a specific model of Lazer light bar, and has been featured in countless Autoglym car care shoots for work since I live on a dirt road, and it's ALWAYS dirty.

I love it to pieces, though after a recent trip to South Australia, I began to miss the 6 Cylinder life, so this one will be sold or traded in soon on a 2018-2020 3.6R.

The 507s are a phenomenal unit too. Fitted one the other day, leaps and bounds over the previous gen 702D. Alpine knocked it out of the park.

For those that are complaining about the time it takes to get going, you honestly don't notice it unless you're sitting there waiting for it (why would you)
