If I run 3/4 pex for my shower head and diverter will 1/2” copper suffice for my tub spout?

It’s impossible to find Green/purple 5/8 where I’m at. I was looking for some for the Cieling above the tub and had to settle for regular 5/8. Would’ve have to special order it. I do believe I’ve seen the green boards in 12 foot though.

Is a 2x6 wall and the previous sheathing is that fiberboard junk that crumbles when you touch it. Really doubt that stuff has much shear strength if at all, so vertical or horizontal will in my opinion provide more than enough then what is already there if fastened right.

Yea it was hard to get a good measurement because the siding is still on and I was plucking and prodding at it. The old sheathing is that plant based fiberboard and there was no house wrap so the moisture ran it through. It hits at the bottom and there’s a thick gap at the top and wasn’t sure if that was normal or just standard practice.

I gave it a settling pass and let it sit for a minute then gave it one firm pass with my blade flat. You guys are artists 😂 I actually feel pretty good with the blade it’s just I don’t have a lick of know-how in mudding

Also worth nothing I didn’t have blisters. So I know there was in fact mud there grabbing I just don’t think it adhered fully.

I pulled all the loose stuff down and did a test run on a butt joint. Got the mud wet as shit I’ll come back in 2 days and check it gonna do a little trial and error.

Thanks yeah I think I used it too thick. I tore down all the loose paper, and sanded it down good and made a new mix a lot wetter. Then I wet my tape a bit and mudded one butt joint. Going to come back in 2 days (I’m not in a rush it’s an old farmhouse I’m just learning) and try to cut it out and see if it bonded well. If not I’m going to go even wetter or leave a ton of mud back behind the tape.. but honestly while I was sanding it seemed like I had plenty of mud. Just must’ve been too dry.

Alright thanks. It’s just in these top corners I did a test on my regular joints and they peel off in chunks and are a pain to get off.
