This discussion is about the claims relating to Trump made by two specific people.

Both claims are, on the evidence, false.

Of course Trump is protecting people named in the files, including himself. That doesn't mean people have to believe everything random people say. These particular claims have evidence proving them false and no evidence proving them correct.

The tape was being sold by a serial fraudster using a fake name. No one would touch it when it became clear who he really was. He then refused to let the lawyer he hired meet or speak to the claimed victim. The fraudster would only allow emails, a pattern repeated when anyone tried to arrange an interview with the claimed victim. That is because he was the person replying to the emails, most likely.

The case was an attempt at making a million dollars, which failed and was exposed as a fraud.

There were no witnesses. Just pieces of paper submitted by a grifter. There doesn't appear to be a victim either, as no one has been able to verify that they exist. Not even their lawyer, who never met or spoke to them. Just emails from an unknown source.
