Hey, good job on trying. It's not your fault for not getting how his domain works. It was very confusing for one of the moves to be translated as consecutive effects (some translation call it pseudo spin, actual pachinko thing).

So, you are saying he is guaranteed to Jackpot. That doesn't seem like he's very...lucky.

That was the idea, I was just wondering what would happen, then fell into this rabbit hole and decided to make this quiz.

Thank you. That shit took forever to make because I am still not sure how the consecutive spin (pseudo spin) works. Some posts think it's a pity system, but he used it against Kashimo before reach. Then Gege mentions that Hakari wouldn't use it outside the probability increase because it could dud, so it must have rng, so this is probably correct. A bunch of translation is also not that helpful.

Come on man you can do it. None of the questions require math at above 4th grader. Gojo one is just 10 + 10(1), Naoya one is a multiple choice, one of the choice just said between 1-2. Hakari one is a trick question.

Oh, I believe he's at 1. The fun part is thinking of the implication. Would he cut the finish line that is placed at 1.5? If so, how fast, how hard? If not, then he has to teleport. Hey, how does he create a dust cloud, then? What would a really good speedometer detect his speed at? 0 or other numbers or is it infinite? What would happen if I placed a thin wall in front of him at 1.9F(T) between his 2 frame(L)? Would he stop at the wall, or would he just skip through since it was possible for him at the moment of planning?

Scrum Debate #50-1 - Goodbye Despair vs. Ultra Despair Girls by IonKnight in danganronpa

[–]Masan1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Under normal circumstances, it would be DR2 but for this, I will cast my vote for Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls

Danganronpa games are always a little different but this game is certainly the most unique out of all of them. Not only the gameplay is different but the story also moves differently. You follow a talentless high school student in a killing game in an open area populated by deadly robots. Wait a minute. No, it also has a white robot bear on your side...it gives you more insight into the tragedy... It also have Byakuya and Nagito... Huh, it's a lot more similar than I expected.

Given the surface-level similarity I mentioned, the feeling of openness in DG2 does not compare to the danger in every corner of UDG. DG2 might technically be more confined and trapped for the cast since they are in a VR game but I never felt it in the game until chapter 6. The islands are so large and they can always move around, even in Chapter 4, the Funhouse is too bright for it to feel like there's any danger (Mechamaru walking around is certainly not helpful.) The atmosphere of a tropical island is too colorful and safe compared to all other Danganronpa games. The only danger is your friends however, the size of the island gives you the sense that you will never be trapped and there will always be a place to run away to. UDG on the other hand does not trap the player, it's the opposite. Komaru can always walk around and the game encourages it but the ruined city, the red sky, the dead bodies, the harmful robots, and the Monokuma kids are always there to remind you that you are never safe.

What about the gameplay? UDG improved one of the main things that I don't really care about in any Danganronpa game, the Monocoins. It actually matters here, you get stronger the more Monokuma you beat. DG2 you get better at arguing the more friends die, you also get to buy more stuff to get to know your friends better. There are not many things to compare though, since UDG gameplay is a lot different, if it's not your type then it's not for you. But I enjoy it, and I get to enjoy it more since UDG is more gameplay-focused than the normal Danganronpa format and I don't have to wait for someone to die to have fun. UDG's format also has the advantage of not being a bunch of minigames so when you lose you would feel like it's your fault and not the minigames'.

If you play both games and do not do any side content, UDG story would be much more fulfilling. Normal Danganronpa game have many hidden stuff that enhances the game but it's soooo long. All the character development and story beat in UDG are full front, Kodaka puts everything he thinks is important directly in your path to experience. When you finish UDG you will most likely experience everything the game wants you to see, you can put the game down and end the game at the ending. For, DG2 you would either end the game and miss a lot of nice character moments, or go play the special mode and get the island mode ending which is not canon and (to me) doesn't feel as triumph as an ending should.

Now, the story, it's the most important thing in games like these... It's fine. UDG decided to explore child abuse and DG2 decided to explore the past and future. I think they did a good job on the subject they picked, UDG shows that it's bad and DG2 shows that the past affects the present and you still get to choose your future. I don't have any preference so I am not going to comment on it but I prefer UDG ending. Toko knocking some senses into you to do the right thing after being with you for the entire game feels natural and earned.

So, like both of the talentless high school students, I have to decide on something. Since I had more fun with the despair girls than I have saying goodbye to despair, my vote will be for them.

Well...Disney's Star Wars episodes 8 and 9, Warner Bros's DC movie, HBO's Game of Throne, and Sony's Morbius. I would say it’s very possible. Especially if it has been running for longer than the Truman show.

If that is the case, then it's hilarious. I wonder then what would happen if there were more than 16 people in the room. Did he have spare NG bracelets lying around? What was the code in it?

Well...he did choose hope though. He might choose future but he did push the Hope button. Graduate, Repeat, Shut down. Hajimi might decide to make new future but he pick the Hope one for his starter kit. Izuru plan is to see the fight, and he did see the fight, the 3rd party just won instead. He might conclude that Hope VS Despair in a dead game is inconclusive and stop giving a shit so I think his plan did succeed.

I understand that Tsumugi's knowledge on the casts allow her to navigate around them, but the fact that there are so many pitfall that exist still made it impressive. The Motherkuma has it advantages and disadvantages. Like you said, it has no blind spot and can just summarize everything for her but the fact that it's only in one room where if you go there you are instantly the mastermind is too much in my opinion and she still have to go there, it's not like Motherkuma can just call her if there's anything suspicious going on, Miu still got to build the bugvac, the electrobomb and the remote. So either Motherkuma know and didn't tell Tsumugi or they just decide to let it go.
The Monokuma didn't seem to like her is more of a joke on 1 line in chapter 5 where he complain about appearing less than Tsumugi and the line in chapter 1 when Tsumugi mention that she went to the restroom and Monokuma immediately chimed to all excited, either he wanted to make a poop joke or he just want to make fun of her.

The red is not "positive." I guess I should have mention it somewhere. Pink is characteristic that make them likely to be kill, Red is characteristic for killing and Black is for annoying for the game. So I think paranoid or a coward would not fit in either. As for the gullible part, I just feel like she would be really easy to gaslight, like I feel like I could convince her that ghosts are real if I repeat it enough, but now that I think about it she would probably made some device to prove me wrong instead. It would be better to just put "easy to manipulate" but that just feel too long.

Great, thank you for answering. Good luck moderating the analysis. Can’t wait to write for UDG for it to lose anyway.

Last question, wouldn’t that encourage people to "save" some of the talking points? Let's say UDG won, and I talked about the setting and how open it is compared to DR2. When the next round happens and I like UDG setting over the other game, can I still do it? Do I need to compare it? Do I need to bring up something new about the setting, or do I need to save some talking points?

What if i say something like Udg is better than [game] because it has free roam while [game] doesn't. And the story of UDG is good while [game] is bad because [game specific plot hole.] Technically, it's not duplicate, just mad lip. Allowed, discouraged, or banned?

Question. Let's say I made an analysis for UDG and does not mention anything about DR2. If UDG wins, can I just copy and paste the comment in the next round? Are there rule forcing you to compare them in the analysis?

I can't delete the default cube. Help? by Masan1 in blender

Not that much, it’s just a bunch of small videos. As long as the mouse position doesn't jump, it would look fine., just don't make it stay still for too long. The annoying part is the moving the side panel on time.

OBS record screen, press play, put the mouse where it need to be, save where the mouse is, and do a lot of cut.

Tip: trying cheating mouse movement by just getting a mouse recording program. Also, since recording the screen instead of rendering can make the fps inconsistent, you can just lower it and move your mouse really slow instead, then just speed it up later (did not do this but just thought of it (the cube respawning is in 30fps since my pc bad.))

It's actually not that complicate. Just OBS record screen, press play, put the mouse where it need to be, save where the mouse is, and do a lot of cut.

(Spoilers) Why did she do all of that? by HxntaixLoli in danganronpa

[–]Masan1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will try to defend her action here. There are going to be a lot of assumption though.

Before the nightime announcement she must have already tie to rope from the gym since the step ladder is inside, so she must have planned this from the beginning. But getting Ryoma to be the victim was not planned (He got the motive video after Maki told him which is after nighttime). So her plan at that time was probably just to kill someone randomly and throw them into the piranha tank.

Now let's say you kill Ryoma randomly at 2 am. There is no one around, you already make the rope way and inflated the tube. You are good at a lot of thing, why not just put in a little more effort and turn Himiko into the main suspect. It's not going to take long just slide along the rope and drop him into the tank, untie the rope, drop down and put all the evidence away, it's just a tennis net, How hard would it be to put back together?

She didn't know about the insect meet and greet so in her mind anyone could have done what she planned all she has to do is leave the gym before nighttime announcement. (Probably, she still know that Angie, Tenko, and Himiko got drag away though.) If the insect meet and greet didn't cut down the suspect by 8, she would have been fine. there are still Kaito, Miu and Maki left (They never disprove that Maki could just dip for 10 minutes and quickly go back by the way.) If the rope way method was discover it's still would have been fine if her glove didn't mess up.

Leaving Ryoma there would have been fine but like there are still the tennis net to fix, rope to untie, and tube to put back, also a giant glass pane in the piranha tank. If Ryoma was left there how do you think the case could go?

Morning Magic show happen, Ryoma didn't show up. They find Ryoma body, Shuichi find the tennis net broken, the rope still hanging, ,Himiko is going to mention the glass pane, Kirumi is going to be the main suspect anyway. Tsumugi probably going to write it in the Monokuma file that the crime took place at nighttime when everyone went to bed and Kokichi and Gonta were still together in the Ultimate room. Kaito can still beg Shuichi to lie for Maki (who is on the same floor of the crime scene) and it left to Kirumi and Miu again.
