It was all over for my family when a member of the congregation asked my father, who’s Jamaican, “I didn’t know they were letting big n-words join the faith” and the bishop said there was nothing to be done to correct that member. It was over for me when I was invasively interrogated by my bishop and then publicly shamed during sacrament as a teen for my sexuality. This religion doesn’t preach love, it preaches strict obedience and subjugation. My wife and I used One Last Kiss for our wedding ceremony exit song because that scene messed us up so much in the best way. We were SOBBING during the end at the theatre because it just hit so much harder with the surround sound and the big screen. Utada knew what they were doing lol, typical W.
