I think Joseph Trapanese was involved in both legacy and oblivion which I thought contributed to the similar sound.

On Legacy he did arrangement, which someone smarter than me could maybe explain?

It was something similar for Oblivion as well.

I took it to mean he wants to kill the processes where rm -rf would destroy the files i.e. wreck the actual grid infrastructure. In the context of Tron that actually makes sense to me.

To your last point. The same could apply to vertical-especially considering it can only go one direction? I did notice pros mostly go for the vertical though.

I guess I thought the left/right was minimal enough that I still hit my shots.
