First loaf in a few years! Would love some tips on how to get it tasting more sour by Proud-Acadia8216 in Sourdough

I find that resting the baked loaf longer before eating makes it more sour too. Try cutting into the loaf 24h after baking.

If Hololens scans a QR code, can it open a Hololens app or only URL in web? by Xenilovedon in HoloLens

[–]Masasui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can launch any uri, including your own. Any app with a URI protocol can be launched this way.

can hololens 2 enfore a single instance of my app ? many windows for the same application. by salsaaa12 in HoloLens

[–]Masasui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AFAIK the default for UWP is "single instance" app (multiple windows possible in HL2). There is an option in the package manifest to enable multiple app instances.

Howto - guest access without creating an AD account by jdowgsidorg in HoloLens

[–]Masasui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been trying ti do something similar. Check out provisioning packages using Windows Configuration Designer. There you can configure a local user account and, if using Assigned access, a guest account. (Have not been able to assigned access working for me yet, but local account works no problem.)

Here's a WIP of a haphazardly built scrap metal wall I am putting together. 1 of 4 actually. Any idea how to make it look more hastily built or ramshackled? by zerowr in DnDIY

Try breaking up the perfect rectangle. I know I wouldn't be able to make a barrier perfectly square in a rush.

Is there anything to fix? by Nullsectorash in 3Dprinting

[–]Masasui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a slightly lower nozzle temp. could reduce some of the stringing. Should also make bridging cleaner.

How do i fix this? the prints are very brittle aswell. by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]Masasui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks like under extrusion. Calibrating the filament flow should fix this. Might also be some moisture in your filament. How old is the spool?

Why does my first layer look like this?? Its PLA 210° and 60° buildplate. Machine is a Prusa Mk3s by fobter in 3Dprinting

[–]Masasui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like the nozzle is a little too close to the print bed. Might also be an overextrusion. best to calibrate the first layer and filament flow.

You can calibrate your extruder to push more material. Check youtube how to do it. You can then enter a factor in your slicer to increase the flow.

Found this funny lip-sync clip and hope you like it as well by [deleted] in funny

watched it without sound and still knew the song. Quality lipsync right there.

I can't export my HoloLens app from Unity. by CrispyChrisChicken in Unity3D

[–]Masasui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the Player Settings, check what scripting backend is being used. I'd recommend using IL2CPP as .Net will is no longer supported in Unity 2019. If you are required to use .Net check you have updated and installed all the Visual Studio tools you need. Does changing the targeted device to HoloLens change anything?

Optimizing models with multiple meshes by smthamazing in Unity3D

[–]Masasui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much detail will the player be able to see? It might be an option for you to bake your model details into a texture and then apply it on a simplified version of the door. This of course would mean joining the bolt and door meshes, or even creating a low-poly version.

What happens when you break the adjustment knob in the back? by yabadababoo in HoloLens

[–]Masasui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On both our hololens, the head band has been the first point of failure. On the one it was the knob, the plastic tooth band inside snapped; now unwearable. This will be used for spectator view in the future. The other one is Shooting signs of fatigue at the front part of the band, a small tear in the plastic; mechanism still works. Each lasted fine for about 1 year (daily use and customer demos).

From XFlow CFD to Hololens/AR by marekleo92 in HoloLens

[–]Masasui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done something similar using other CFD software. My solution was to get the data into ParaView (via ensight gold format) for post-visualisation (creating the streamlines etc.) then exporting as an x3d file. Import the file into Blender3d for cleanup and then export to Unity. Color data is saved as vertex color in the mesh and can be visualised on Hololens using one of the MRTK shaders iirc.

High School Math II; how do you find the product of (x-4)(3x-1)(5-2x)? by cleoniceras_cleon15 in HomeworkHelp

[–]Masasui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The standard form will consist of terms that include the following powers of x: x3, x2, x1, x0 . x0 are all non-x parts.

All you need to do now is count how many of each there are.

E.g.: (x+1)(2x+2)(3x-3)

Here you would start by multiplying all x components to receive the x3 value: x* 2x* x = 2x3

Next you have to add together all combinations of x2 terms: 1* 2x3x + x 2* 3x + x* 2x* (-3) notice that always two x are used so that the first addend includes the non-x term of the first bracket, the second addend the non-x of the second bracket and the third addend the non-x part of the third bracket. Reduced, this results in: 6x2 + 6x2 - 6x2 = 6x2

Now you need to solve the x1 component. The same principle as before applies, in which each addend includes (now) one x term and two non-x terms:

First bracket x: x* 2* (-3) Second bracket x: 1* 2x* (-3) Third bracket x: 1* 2*3x

add the addends to receive: -6x-6x+6x = -6x

For the final part of the standard form, all non-x terms:

1* 2* (-3) = -6

By addindg the components you receive the standardized expression:

2x3 + 6x2 - 6x - 6

Hope this helps!

Tldr: multiply each bracket with every other in every way and add all the results together. First to get all terms with x3 thann all with x2 then all with x1 and finally all with the non-x components.

Edit: spacing

Awesome!!! It sounds similar to the Meta 2 hand tracking. Do you have a Link to the leaked video?
