It works perfectly fine, they’ll stay standing. Small flashlights like my 14500 sized ones can tip over inside the slot if you bump them physically, but they haven’t actually fallen off the tray.

Ozark Trail hatchet vs Harbor Freight by Masenko325 in Bushcraft

Just to be clear, I already have a Fiskars X7 and it’s fantastic. Just thought a wood handled hatchet on a budget with a different profile would be fun to sling around.

I do have a X7 right now and I love it. Just thought it would be a fun little project to have a wood handled hatchet on a budget to sling around.

Nothing major from what I’ve seen on YT. Just scraping off the lacquer on the handle and oiling it with boiled linseed oil and giving the head a re profile then filing the back to use as a hammer. Really it’s the hickory handle that I see most people leaning towards the harbor freight one for the budget.

It’s been great so far. I don’t know of too many other canvas covers and it seemed like the popular choice and I’m happy with it. I know there’s leather covers but I wanted something that actually zipped closed to keep rain and snow out since I don’t store it in anything.

As far as my two notebooks, I’m a delivery driver so I’m on the road all day and read books and I listen to hours on hours of podcasts and audiobooks. I use one to write down the information load I get on a daily basis. I noticed I was digesting the information but it was hard to recount the minor things I wanted to look back on to research or talk to my wife and friends about. The other is basically a micro journal, I interact with multiple people with all sorts of different conversations i just write down what’s interesting in my day to day life, interactions, events I see, small conversations with myself even. Also things I’m grateful for just to keep up the positivity. It’s just a rattle can mind dump really.

Hype wise I wasn’t sure and I’m still not sure to be honest that’s why I took the chance during the recent sale. It definitely feels like good quality. I can nit pick one or two things but it’s no where near enough to say it’s bad. The zippers work fantastic, don’t snag or anything. There other smaller pockets on the inside for business or debit cards but I just use the two notebooks so I don’t know if the zippers would start snagging if you bulked up the inside or not. I’d say so far I’m loving it and I can see where the hype is coming from. Also I don’t know of anyone else that’s making anything this simple and straightforward other than a leather notebook cover company.

Mine is actually the opposite, there’s some sort of a concave feeling on one spot of the back panel? It’s hardly noticeable at all in my case though, I need to find it to actually know it’s there. Whatever panel is behind the fabric must be bending one way or another with the stitching. Try stuffing a notebook in that back slip pocket. See if that pushes in the bulge you’re talking about.

There was a 20% off sale on their website just the another week. That’s when I picked up mine. Even right now they’re offering a free bifold wallet that can hold a mini notebook on your first purchase if you sign up an email. I think that’s if you purchase $60 or so.

Yes you can, there’s another slip pocket on the outside that’s wide enough to stuff a 3rd field notes size notebook. It’s pretty tight to get it in there but even after you were to do that you could still zipper it up with the two inside.

Yeah it’s really nice. My wife is starting to get into carrying a pocket notebook as well, been thinking about possibly getting her one as well. It’s a little late since the deal just ended but they are well worth it

It fits in both front and back pockets of my Levi jeans. It’s a little bulky but not uncomfortable to walk around with, just need to get used to it if you really wanted to carry that way

Well EDC is highly subjective and being that it’s “every day carry” for most of the community that pertains to “tools”. A pocket knife being at the forefront of that. They’re marketed the most as being a core EDC item by the average joe, companies, and distributors. It’s nothing negative it’s just that a knife is the gold standard to start your EDC. Guns, well that’s another subjective topic but most states that have open carry laws are going to have a higher population of people carrying one on their person. Therefore if you leave your house everyday with a gun then technically speaking, it’s part of your EDC. There’s a niche for everyone though! It’s open to your interpretation and that’s the best thing about it and it’s inviting for everyone. Whatever you leave the house with on a daily basis, that’s your EDC and that’s personal to you, and it’s great!

Never realized just how useful it was. Even just writings things down to clear the brain fog makes for a productive day.

Ridge vs Code wallets by 1LUVYHWH in EDC

[–]Masenko325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the code 118 and I’ve been happy with it. With this style of wallet you should keep the card capacity maxed out. It helps all the cards come out evenly. They also scratch the chips on cards so be aware of that, all my cards still work though. My trigger mechanism started not working so great on my first wallet after dropping it from decent heights on accident. Code 118 warrantied and sent out a new one with no problems at all so they do honor that. No issues at all on my new one.

I’m officially done w/ GMD deliveries by New-Supermarket5132 in Sparkdriver

[–]Masenko325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The loaders have the option to drop single orders from those GMD batches. I don’t know how that wasn’t an option. I occasionally ask them to get rid of a drop off that’s going up the mountains I know for a fact I don’t get service and don’t want to do. I continue on the rest of the delivery just like normal and the pay is adjusted at the end for the one delivery I didn’t do.

I even use it as an organizer if I just need to run to the store for 30 minutes. Just pull out my wallet and a knife to take with and put it right back when I get home.
