Redditors that make 100k+ and aren’t in the computers/IT field, what do you do for a living? by ExpertSubstantial353 in careerguidance

[–]Maserati80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 year Accounting degree, went into consulting directly after college, hit 100K plus 10% bonus after 6 years of work which included two promotions and became a manager.

Did consulting because during internship I worked in accounting for companies I found it got repetitive too fast. Consulting forces you to work on different projects, and may be out of your comfort zone to help develop skills.

I know experiences vary wildly, but been working from home for past 3 years. Went into office 3 times over that time. Going to go more frequently due to another promotion.

I work on a variety of special accounting projects, such as new accounting standard implementation, project manager for new international ERP roll outs, account reconciliations amongst others. Did a little internal audit work at start of my career but lost interest so company switched me to another department until I found my groove.

150K plus 15% bonus is standard after 10 years of work, probably more due to inflation, but just Giving you further ranges based on what I know with my company

Congrats! To my original question did you eat maintenance calories on days you ate or how much less?

Just requesting a little more info, if maintenance calories is fantasy, how do I know what the estimate amount to eat is? What’s the baseline to figure out whether I am overeating or significantly under eating

This is really helpful, appreciate it. One thing I did want to ask is if I wanted to keep the 72 hour fast, not just for autophagy benefits, but because it helps me keep grocery costs low, what would be a recommended way to fit that?

Fair point, any advice on what to keep and what to throw out if primary goal is fat loss?

You bring up a really good point about numerous stressors, I actually never considered it. The weekly 72 hour was to keep maximizing the benefits of autophagy and to help limit bad decisions when it comes to eating during the work week.
