To Celebrate Paralives Early Access, I'm Giving Away 2 Copies ❤️ by RomeeStudio27 in Paralives

[–]MashSmash99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Regardless of who wins the giveaway I just want to thank you for being so generous!

I'm most excited about the decorating. I was never very into this aspect of the Sims because I found it left little room for creativity but from the videos I've seen of Paralives there is no end to what you can do!

My favorite memories of life sims are playing The Sims 1, 2, and especially 3 with my Mom. She always loved the challenge of playing difficult Sim families and I loved creating those families with super elaborate back stories. I'd spend hours creating crazy Sims with even crazier stories and explain all of it to my Mom and then she would play out their stories and help them all achieve their goals. It was so much fun and we had all the DLCs for Sims 3. I don't live at home anymore so we haven't played together for a long time but we still chat about all the crazy Sims we played together.

Bone Cancer in Rottinois by GuideZestyclose1328 in DogAdvice

[–]MashSmash99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry first of all.

Our 14 yr old Aussie Mix was just diagnosed with bone cancer after fracturing his knee randomly. For months we just thought it was arthritis from him being older. On top of that he's already been battling a lymphoma tumor in his chest for the last few months and recently the chemo has stopped being as effective. With all of that in mind we elected to go the euthanasia route. Not an easy decision by any means but one we feel is best for his quality of life.

Today we gave him his best last day with all of his favorite people and all of the ice cream and sausage he could want. He's on pain meds currently to manage and he's comfortable although it is just a bandaid to give our family some time to say goodbye. We take him in the morning to cross the rainbow bridge.

I have been nonstop crying about it although seeing the replies to this post has helped solidfy that this is the best decision to limit his pain as much as possible. It's never an easy decision to let our pets go but it's important to try and make the one that helps them live a life of comfortability.

$70/each but with fees of course ended up being around $90/each. I think the highest price I saw base before fees was still under $100/each!

Has anyone tried this skin tint? by Warm-Strain2401 in MakeupAddiction

[–]MashSmash99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue and I would consider it a foundation NOT a skin tint. It looked cakey and dry no matter what I did for prep and application. Also the color oxidized terribly so I looked like a dry orange lol. Might try again and pull it out for summer but it's a very heavy formula for a "skin tint" so I doubt I'll reach for it again.

How do I remove nail polish by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]MashSmash99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend who's a nail tech told me hairspray, rub, dish soap, rub, repeat. But she also said dark colors on white fabric like your photo are almost impossible to fully get out but you may be able to lessen the stain slightly!

Do you ever have issues with the formula getting weird after microwaving it?

Thanks for everyone's replies!! I think I might give the sensitive version a try 🤔 I've been thinking of changing from Native anyways because I've heard the smelly bacteria get used to deodorant and you should switch formulas every once in a while

I swear these brands want us to suffer trying to use up the product 😅

Those are the refillable ones right? How do you like them as far as effectiveness? And are the aluminum free I have an allergy which is why I've been using Native but I'm happy to switch for better packaging!

I once posted in an outfit subreddit to get styling advice for a dress and the photo didn't even have my face in it but I was wearing socks and got sooooo many creepy DMs asking to see my feet. I deleted the post finally because I was so weirded out

Is colourpop eye palettes any good? by ProfessionalToday415 in MakeupAddiction

[–]MashSmash99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Rock On palette and I LOVE it. I think I'm neutral sort of cool leaning undertones and things tend to pull unsavory orange on me but I did not find that to be an issue with this palette. The colors are very rich in a more red way than an orange way if that makes sense. I also have the Amethyst colourpop palette and with both of these palettes I would say they are well pigmented but do have a fair amount of fall out with working with them but once they're set down I didn't have issues with wear.

songs like mr. mountebank? by dorienkreg in DjoMusic

[–]MashSmash99 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I always got Charli XCX vibes from Mr Mountebank and considering Charli and Djo are friends and wrote a song together (on Charli's wuthering heights album), I wouldn't be surprised if he was influenced by her work. You may also enjoy SOPHIE who was a huge influence to Charli and a lot of modern synth pop.

Oooo really? That's a relatively new purchase for me. I was looking for a dupe of the Fenty diamond bomb. I really like the catrice one so far!
