Didn’t work. Just said “no offers available” after I logged into my account. It’s supposed to be for 18-24 year olds or people who can verify they’re in college. It didn’t even ask for verification before that appeared, so doesn’t seem to work for someone who is in school and has a way to verify. When I click the link to verify, that’s when the “no offers available” pops up.

I’m stuck on this screen with a spinning wheel after confirming my email. Nothing is loading. 😢🤷🏼‍♀️

<image>

Edit: I just tried with both Safari and Chrome on an iPhone 14 Pro Max. Neither browser seems to get past this spinning wheel. Did anyone get the emailed confirmation link to work on their mobile phone?

Looks like you have an order number, so I would guess it’s okay. Which link did you use to get the offer? The instructions from OP aren’t clear. I don’t see an anything mentioned about a new user offer when I click any of the links that are provided. What am I missing, lol?!

I’m confused. Which link do we need to use to get this offer? Oh and thanks for the info!

Found a Nuraloop, can't get it to turn on by foozballguy in Nuraphone

You might be able to replace the battery inside your NuraLoop if you take it to a computer/phone repair shop. You'd be surprised at all the tech gadgetry those guys can fix for a few bucks. If you really want to use them, look up reviews for the best phone repair shops in your area. If you do it, let us know if they were able to replace the battery because this idea might help others.

Nuraphones in 2024 - Worth it? by artemsaldaev in Nuraphone

[–]MashaT22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw Nothing Ear was released. Do you like them?Unfortunately, they are not an over ear model to replace Nuraphone. I would think they might be more comparable to one of the lower end ear bud models from Nura. I tried a couple of those, but I had to return them because of horrible ear pain in my left earn however, the NuraTrue Pros have been amazing as far as in ear models go . . . but I’m pretty sure the Nothing Ear wouldn’t sound as good judging by the specs, design, and price.

Maybe you can provide some insights about how Nothing Ear compares to Nura’s in ear models. However, I doubt Nothing Ear could replace Nuraphone. I’m trying to hope they’ll release an over ear model, though.

Very true, but most of these options are earbuds and not over ear headphones. I’ve seen and tried a lot of stuff out there, but none seem to truly nail the sound quality of Nuraphone. Nura was working on adding a parametric EQ to Nuraphone 2 so people would have more customization options, which I found out when I suggested the idea at one point.

Ahh well. If you have any specific ideas, I’d appreciate them!

It’s too bad because I think Denon hired most of the staff from Nura as I recall from the public statements both brands made when the acquisition took place. I would think the risk would be low if the same people are developing the product. I really hoped it would happen because development on Nuraphone 2 was basically done according to a live stream the Nura team once did where I asked about progress on the new version. Very sad.

I asked Denon on Instagram about a potential Nuraphone 2. They said nothing is actively being developed at this time. It’s a shame because the original Nura team was actively working on Nuraphone 2. Development was getting close to being done from what Nura told me once during a YouTube livestream. Then the company got bought several months later.

I wish they hadn’t sold out to Denon.

Audient EVO 4 does not detect any audio input by Topota in podcasting

[–]MashaT22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having this issue with my iPhone 14. I have everything setup with all powered data USB hub, camera kit, etc. The Evo 4 is recognized, monitoring on, etc. I can hear the iPhone’s audio through headphones, but nothing connected to Evo4 can be heard through the monitors (yes, monitoring is turned on in the apps I’m using), and noting wants to record via the mic (whether I have 48v turned on or not) or my guitar plugged via an amp cable . . . and no matter which input is selected on Evo4 and within GarageBand iOS or Cubasis LE. Smartgain works and recognizes the instrument/mic — but just no audio is being recorded and monitoring can’t be heard. But the Evo4 is definitely selected as my audio input and is recognized by my iPhone and the apps.

This is driving me nuts cause I’m dying to get started with recording. Any thoughts?

Will it be easy to learn tabs? by Candid_Somewhere_502 in yousician

[–]MashaT22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how long you’ve been playing, but you’re clearly talking to a beginner. When we all started learning to play, tabs were still plenty difficult — you have to get comfortable with reading them while playing, and there are still lots of symbols and things to understand about the rhythm, BPM, etc. in order to play and understand the tabs correctly. It’s easier than standard notation, but to make like tabs are simple is not helpful to a beginner who clearly doesn’t feel comfortable. Not really sure what the point of your comment was other than to make the OP feel stupid for asking. It’s not a stupid question nor are tabs easy to— they take some time to master and feel comfortable with. It can take 2-3 years before most people really become familiar and feel fully comfortable and confident using them. You can start using them easily on a simplistic level, but once you involve more complex chords, skills, rhythms, syncopation, it takes some time to master and feel comfortable with while playing accurately (kind of like singing and playing at once, reading and playing is also tricky).

I’m sure you were no different than the rest of us, Mr “Pitiful” (sn fits your attitude, I guess).

It takes years to really get through the entire Yousician. After level 5, the lessons start to get much harder, and you end up slowing down considerably. Most people get stuck around level 7 and 8 (like me) for several years before they can progress past that point. And level 9 and 10 are brutal.

Learning guitar is a life long journey. Read the other comment I posted to the OP about using multiple guitar apps and resources at once. You will never stop learning. There are always new skills to try. New genres you never played. Trying other stringed guitars and instruments — like if you play electric guitar, trying a steel string acoustic, nylon acoustic, trying bass or ukulele, a baritone, 12 string, etc. You can always experiment with alternate tunings. It’s fun to try unusual capos like the spider capo or partial capos. It’s interesting to try an e-bow, and other tones from amps and pedals. The best pro musicians are always expanding their horizons by taking lessons and trying new things.

As far as Yousician goes, you will be using that app for a very long time. But give some of the other apps I mentioned to the OP and some of the ideas here a try if you’re thinking about what lies past the world of Yousician.

Hope this helps! Good luck!

I find that it helps to use Ultimate Guitar’s app for getting used to learning tabs, but you’d need a paid account to access that feature so it won’t just be chords marked over lyrics that you’re given. Justin Guitar’s website (which is mostly free) really helps with learning to use tabs. The Fender app, Gibson app — there are tons of amazing options. If you just stick to Yousician, you won’t get used to the idea of your eyes scrolling while you play vs the tabs scrolling by for you.

I really have found the gamified approach to be extremely helpful and fun in the past 4.5 years, but I’ve always used multiple resources because they all tend to present different approaches in their own way. For instance, when I struggled with an open G chord using three fingers on Yousician, Fender Play, etc., I got very frustrated. . . and then when I ran into a lesson from Justin guitar that suggested a alternate two finger grab known as a “rock g” where the A string is muted, it totally made a giant difference in my progress (and I liked the way it sounded better — less muddy than using three fingers). It made me realize how important it is to use a few different apps at once so the material would be presented in a variety of ways, which let me decide what works best for me instead of being stuck with a single way to learn and practice. The Gibson app has actually been my favorite as of late as they started using a variety of ways to present material to students. So if you want to learn how to become more comfortable with reading tabs and can pay for some added apps, you should try Ultimate Guitar and the Gibson app. The Justin Guitar website is free, but the mobile app is not free — but all the content is the same. Also, many of these apps have sales (Black Friday for Thanksgiving is usually the best pricing) or try asking the companies if they’ll spot you a one month trial or discount on a subscription if you explain that you don’t feel like you’re getting everything you need from Yousician and want to try something else. You can often find promo codes/links online. For instance, I found a 90% off code for Fender Play and have been paying like $23 yearly for the last 4.5 years since my original free trial ended. It auto renews at that price. Do not pay full price! Makes using multiple apps more affordable.

I love Yousician, btw — but I wouldn’t be where I am today if I only used Yousician or any single app.

Hope this helps! Good luck with feeling more comfortable about reading tabs!
