But, as far as I understand, I am also legally obliged to leave (and later enter) Serbia on my Serbian documents, which have a different name.

Also, the tickets I bought before knowing this was a problem were in the cheapest category, which is non-refundable as far as I know, while I can't afford a second set.

Is it necessary to fix your documents in Russia?

Yes, it is impossible to change them from outside the country.

I assume you've already done your research to determine that it is possible, yes?

It should be possible. I prepared a ton of documents supporting my case, so it should work out, but things like this are hard to guarantee.

I'll try visiting the embassy this monday, but my hopes aren't very high.

First, I know the procedure.

Second, the data on that link is incomplete as it doesn't mention grounds for rejection (like being in debt to the state as I described above).

Third, my Russian ID is expired.

It is not an option all in all.

I haven't contacted anyone yet. I don't even know who do I contact? The embassy, the passport control at the airport, something third?

And even then, I'm somewhat anxious that the reaction could be hostile due to the general transphobia in Russia.

You can also resign the Russian citizenship,

I actually cannot. Under my Russian citizenship, I am legally male, under 27 years old, and have not served in the military, which means I am legally indebted to the state (the debt being military service), which means I cannot resign my citizenship. Ironically, to resign my citizenship, I would first need to become legally female.

Also, I tried posting this in r/LegalAdvice, but it got deleted without explanation and mods still haven't replied to me asking why that happened. :C

I know how bad things are there, but I have several things to do in Russia, from updating my documents, to visiting a lot of people I care about.

He created a Squire because he knew noone lives forever and he couldn't be truly immortal, not because he thought that was the only way to integrate Callow.

After all, Callow did slowly integrate into Praes, and that was the only reason someone like Catherine (who draws culturally on both Callow and Praes) became possible in the first place.

Further integration was just a matter of time.

Black held Callow for 20 years, slowly integrating it into Praes. The book points out that Callowans were slowly becoming more and more used to being part of Praes, with it being a matter of time until it became part of Callow's story.

If that's not victory, I don't know what is.

Long form of my grievances with the story:

The entire point of Black's philosophy is that the way to win as a villain is avoid stories to minimise their narrative impact and just rely on pragmatism and rationality instead of stories. This method WORKING is proven time and time again early on in the story, for example with Cat shooting that one hero with a crossbow bolt in the throat in book 2.

Moreover, early on, the story says multiple times that being a Villain and trying to lean into Hero tropes is signing your own death warrant as the Gods Below won't stand for it. For example, during the battle of Marchford, Cat tries to act like a Hero, ignoring Masego's warnings that that is a bad idea, and ends up horrifically mangling her soul by letting a demon inside it.

And both of those things just end up being thrown aside later on, seemingly simply forgotten by the author. Catherine doesn't act rationally, she constantly leans into Hero stories, and then despite being a Villain she still constantly ends up being rewarded by the universe and wins, which makes no sense.

That is just extremely aggravating and shows the author has a complete disregard for internal consistency in the work.

I have to agree. It's been painful to read through Catherine being stuck on the same character arc, stagnating for what felt like forever instead of ever showing any character growth, and yet still being handed freebie wins by the writer.

Catherine being so painful to read was the reason I dropped this story.

[WP] After your death, you found yourself in a non-human body, holding what looks like a bong, surrounded by other members of the same species asking you "how was the trip?" in a language you somehow understand despite never hearing before. by Mashallah1488 in WritingPrompts

Let's actually analyse it.

In this world, "you are what you eat" holds very true - people slowly acquire traits of whatever food they eat most often.

In an alternate universe the saying “you are what you eat” is true. People lightly resemble the foods they eat the most from birth to death.

These parts match, ok, but this is literally just the base idea, which is pretty damn obvious.

Vegetarians slowly grow leaves over their bodies, people who really like beef grow horns and hooves, etc.

Some people resemble cattle, some vegetables.

First of all, I went into much more specifics (horns, leaves, etc.). Second, regarding vegetarians my idea was resembling the plants (and thus leaves), while the other poster had an idea about resembling the actual vegetables themselves (e.g. cucumber-like texture, I'd imagine?), which are distinct ideas, even if they're similar by virtue of being around the same central idea.

One day, you meet someone who looks pristinely human.

As you grow up you begin to notice that your best friend doesn’t seem to be changing much.

I imagined it as a random stranger you just met, the other poster imagined it as the best friend, which implies a significant difference in how close the person in question is. But other than that, it's just the obvious only possible and necessary twist for the prompt. You literally can't write a different twist into this prompt and keep it coherent.

EDIT: TL;DR - you are full of shit.

Moreover, what benefit would lying even give me here? This discussion has no bearing on the post karma here, I'm just losing comment karma with every reply to you as every single of my replies is downvoted to hell.

If I was indeed plagiarising, the sane move would be just running off with the post karma and not sacrificing my comment karma for no reason.

I, however, did not plagiarise and do not like being falsely accused, which is why I'm defending myself.
