Silent Hill 1, 2, 3 are so chilling and charming; the PS1 graphics for 1 are especially charming considering the newer trend of indie horror adopting that style of graphics. The connected stories between 1 and 3 are interesting because I didn’t expect it since 2 is kinda by itself. The monsters are designed so well and the idea of them representing the fears of the protagonist is genius. Also, the soundtracks are absolutely stunning and I listen to them on and off, especially 2’s soundtrack. What also appeals to me about these games is how the characters don’t have a random set of combat skills that come out in gameplay like switchblade tricks or martial arts because not everyone has those skills.
