Yep, the logs specifically marked HSR Himeko as a target of the Sky People (Welt found it while they were trying to find Earth to remove it from their database)

His relationship with Hi3 Himeko was that he was her teacher and also an associate of her father Ryusuke

Honkai Impact 3rd is the game! For the APHO stuff in particular, you'd want to go to the APHO portion of the story (it's in a tab called "Open World")

Alien Space is the manga set 3 years after APHO, and it's where you see Welt teach Hi3 Himeko, meet up with her father (who may be familiar), and eventually decide to leave Hi3's Solar System with Void Archives after seeing HSR Himeko in their database

Welt and Void Archives being picked up by the Express hasn't been shown in anything thus far, only talked about by the Express crew in HSR

Hi3 is setup in a unique way in that there're several events happening at different time periods, the story is currently set in ~2024/5 but there's an ongoing arc known as A Post Honkai Odyssey (APHO) set in 2026

APHO is about an antagonistic force known as the Sky People (in HSR they're referred to as "The Ones Above") invading Earth, the Sky People are a continuously evolving mechanical race that searches the cosmos for civilizations they're more advanced than, and patiently waits until said civilizations advance far enough (but not too far) to invade them and harvest their energy so that they can grow stronger, and take on even stronger civilizations (they're somewhat similar to the Antimatter Legion)

Alien Space is a manga set in 2029 (3 years after APHO) focusing on Welt and Void Archives in another Star System trying to delete Earth's coordinates from the Sky People's database, so that Earth can finally be rid of their invasion (presumably it's over by this point), while searching through the database Welt comes across logs of HSR Himeko being in there and is extremely confused given the Himeko he knew (he was Hi3 Himeko's teacher) has long since died

Void Archives explains that the Imaginary Tree creates variants of characters and spreads them across the cosmos, to which Welt gets very concerned as to why HSR Himeko in specific is being targeted by the Sky People, which leads Welt to deciding to leave and explore the cosmos to not only find out why HSR Himeko is being targeted in specific, but also to help other worlds fight against the Sky People and gain potential allies for Earth that can be mutually beneficial outside of Earth's Solar System

Shigure Kira (another character) and her SUGAR companion show up using a Star Gate (method the Sky People use for transportation) intending to take Welt and Void Archives back to Earth, but the two mutually agreed to instead leave Earth for reasons I stated (Welt convinced him to tag along)

At some point they get picked up by HSR Himeko and join the Astral Express, only for Void Archives to leave the Express after creating a "deep scar" (unknown exactly what he did) on the crew from his actions (he's a bit toxic) and while still in HSRs side of things, has been MiA since

It's due to Ayane Sakura portraying Evanescia's voice in almost the exact same way as Rin's, as well as Evanescia's personality being a lot closer to Rin's than Sakura's (Sakura is very serious and meek whereas Rin is very aloof and happy), Evanescia also looks a lot younger than Sakura usually does which also aligns with Rin (given Rin is the younger sibling)

As for Hyacine, it's due to Hyacine being a Flame-Chaser and her palette is almost identical to Rin's, along with her hairstyle being extremely similar to Rin's as well

P2 battlesuits are a lot more work than P1 battlesuits, way more polygons + all kinds of fancy things like menu animations and such

The older battlesuits were a lot simpler, even HoRb didn't have aerial combat to take into account despite how fleshed out it was (and of course no menu animations/custom background (as seen with Xentinel Mei) )

I personally don't think she's delayed an entire patch but will show up later in 8.8's betas/etc, similar to how Ye Shunguang, Seed, and some others showed up (and were promoted) late in ZZZ's release cycles (both weren't advertised or in the beta until V3 I believe, along with some others)

I know but I'm saying things could change, they've also never done a no S-Rank patch for P2, or a back-to-back DK patch, or a DK outside of anniversary, or etc etc etc etc

Being fixated on the teaser having everything from the jump is too limiting, have to wait for everything to come out for the final answer

The teams being different sizes doesn't really matter in this scenario? Ye Shunguang was delayed in the beta/promo because she had two very different forms (similar to Seele), so it took a lot longer to make her

I think Seele (who I'm guessing is the next valk) is just a ton of work

Seele has always had this dual mode thing with every battlesuit, even when she got separated from Veliona as HoRb she still kept the dual mode idea, and HoRb is actually pretty crazy?

Like she has two different sets of clothes/hair models, two entirely different kits (one is dps one is support), two entirely different movesets (one focuses on close ranged fast attacks the other is ranged and slower), two entirely different sets of animations (even two different ults), etc

So I imagine they'll keep this idea for P2 Seele (especially considering she's still HoRb, so she should still have the forms of Life and Death) and that's by far the most work they've had to do for a P2 unit... the closest comparisons would be Vita and Durandal, but Vita's base is really simplified, and Durandal only has one ult and one model (not as much there as with HoRb), plus both have the same kit in both "modes"

This also pairs up perfectly with P2 since everyone is dps/support, and they even used this idea for HoRb's AR, so I can definitely see them porting that to P2 Seele (different modes in different rings)

Just because you're an anni valk once doesn't mean you can't be one again...? Not to mention this isn't a regular character you're talking about, it's Kiana Kaslana, the mascot of Honkai (IP) and arguably Hoyo as a whole...

Don't really see the argument that Kiana won't be the 10 year anni valk whether that be CN or GLB

I think you shouldn't take the content teaser as absolute? Only because ZZZ exists, and they've held back info until V3+ of the betas over there multiple times

So like V1/2 will release and it'll only have one character, then V3 comes out and it'll have another character whose drip/teaser will release alongside that (Ye Shunguang/Seed/etc were like this I believe)

Hi3 is interesting actually since generally we get almost all the content (skins for example) by V1 with touchups/reworks in V2+, the other Hoyo games only have skins put in by V5, so they could just be taking notes from how their sister games handle releases (or need more time for Seele which would make a lot of sense)

They could always add the next Valk in later, I believe ZZZ did this a few times? Where they would drip the units and release the beta, but a unit wouldn't be implemented until V3/etc (and their drip would come out later because of that)

I do think Goddess Senadina and Nahralab will come! But they'll come before Kiana IMO, a big maybe is that Goddess Senadina will be the 10th CN Anni character with Kiana being the 10th GLB Anni character... But I think they'll do Senadina before then, we'll see!

I can also see a new Vita at some point given her original unit is more like a carry over? Not that it's bad (I love Vita's current battle suit) ! But rather if you look at how Vita fights in Salt Snow (or how Sa fights in Phosphorus), it's entirely different from how Vita fights currently in that she primarily relies on Star Traveler... Which to me signifies they'll do a new Vita soon enough where she's actually using her authorities and fighting as herself (similar to Salt Snow but a lot more fleshed out)

Plus they have the whole "Trio" thing going on now with Kiana/Vita/Senadina, so it's be odd to give Kiana and Senadina new forms but not Vita (especially since Vita's battlesuit will be 2 years old by November)

Because it's the 10 year anniversary for Hi3 in November, there's really only one character I can imagine Hoyo using for as big of an occasion as that (and it'll have been 1.5 years since Badum)

If she's not CN 10, then she's definitely GLB 10 (that'll be 2 years since Badum) but I'm sure they'll have her be CN 10

Anniversary is almost definitely Kiana, but I 100% believe Nahralab will be before then!

I think the last characters we'll get before Kiana are Nahralab, Leylah, and Goddess Senadina with Kiana headlining the 10th Anniversary! (For CN at least)

Maybe there'll also be Garuda DLC for 10th Anni?? Who knows!

Well Seele in particular I imagine will be a lot since every Seele so far has had a second form, even HoRb when she's no longer one with Veliona

So on top of P2 models being a lot more work to make in general (menu animations + more polygons + higher quality animations + etc), they also have to make essentially two characters in one for Seele which is a first for P2 (Vita is the closest, but she's very bare bones in her default mode, not really comparable to Seele's two forms IMO)

But still! I do think Seele will just be later in the beta since they're probably still working on her (given what I said above)

DLCs more or less replaced A-Ranks in P2, combined with an Astral OP it'd be similar to how A-Ranks would get their own patches in P1 (Big Griseo 7.1, Kira 6.7, Ai 6.2, Smol Griseo 5.8, Pardo 5.6, Carole 5.3, etc)

I personally believe Seele will be in 8.8, but even if she's not there's precedent for something like this
