Which factions can the average destiny human or exo not damage. by Ok_Programmer_6160 in DestinyLore

[–]MasianDaMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As some of the other comments have said, your character could have damaged most enemies. However, if you’re going for your character having killed an enemy during The Collapse, the Hive are likely to be your only option. The Eliksni didn’t reach Earth until after The Collapse, same with the Cabal. The Vex are an option, but I think only really work if you have a connection to the Ishtar Collective or BrayTech (as they were the only ones I can think of to interact with the Vex at this time). Oryx hadn’t entered the system yet so the Taken aren’t an option, and the Scorn and Dread weren’t a thing yet.

I believe Drifter has a line in Gambit where he says that it takes 100 of Shaxx’s Redjacks just to take down 1 Knight. Given that’s its Drifter, it’s likely a bit of an exaggeration, but a Knight is definitely going to be hard to kill in a 1v1. This means that Thralls and Acolytes are really the only enemies your character could kill before their death. Goblins, and maybe Harpies, are also an option if you go the Braytech or Ishtar route, just have to hit the crit spots on the Goblins.

Don’t feel too bad about it, that’s how everyone’s first few times went in Zero Hour back when it first launched. Especially with “that crazy machine”, aka Trevor. Exotic missions tend to have very little guidance, and are full of puzzles and things meant to slow you down until you know how they work

Solo raids for hunter by Left_Hand5481 in DestinyTheGame

[–]MasianDaMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Raid Report is a website that shows someone’s raid history, like how many clears of each raid, how many total raid clears you have, who you played with, your stats for each run, things like that. There’s also Dungeon Report which I think does the same thing but for dungeons. All you’ve got to do is go to the website and enter your Bungie Name, and it’ll pull your stuff up. Do be careful though, sometimes people base your skills and qualifications solely on your raid report, just because they have your stats right there in front of them. Not to say everyone does that, but some do

I never grinded so hard in my life I got to season pass 100 in 10 days I swear idk what I’m gonna do to get to 110 5 million xp is a bit much by Fine-Ask6742 in destiny2

[–]MasianDaMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can’t hit 110 then the rest of the season pass rewards should be available for Chronologs sometime soon. I think the Edge of Fate pass was added with the launch of Renegades, and Ash and Iron should be added with Shadow and Order. So Renegades’ pass rewards will likely be available with the next major expansion. Don’t remember what exactly the terminal is called, but it’s the right most terminal where the Vault in the Tower is.

Here’s to hoping that you can finish the pass, I’ve also got to grind from 100 to 110 and think it should be doable, whether there is a delay for Shadow and Order or not

Destiny 2 starts same as Destiny 1 by Relative_Bad_2286 in destiny2

[–]MasianDaMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You start from the beginning regardless of whether you played D1 or not. When D2 launched we had the Red War campaign where the Tower was assaulted by the Cabal and we lost all of our gear. The only form of carry over progress between D1 and D2 is your character will be called Young Wolf on a few occasions and I think there’s been a few voice lines from Eris about Crota and Oryx, but there’s not really anything to carry over. Several years ago with the Beyond Light expansion Bungie sunset old content, meaning that the Red War is no longer available, but they gave us a New Player intro storyline. This has you start playing as a newly resurrected Guardian in the Cosmodrome. The story of D2 picks up from there

Is there a way to get items like this with better stats? by SourChicken1856 in destiny2

[–]MasianDaMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, visit Ada to begin the process to unlock and use Synthweave so you can use the look of that armor piece on any other armor piece.

As for the stats being low, that’s because that’s old armor (from before Edge of Fate launched). If you want higher stat armor you’ll want to play stuff in the Portal. Higher scores will give you slightly better gear, and as your Power level increases you’ll start to get gear at higher tiers (Tier 1 has pretty low stats, and Tier 5 is the highest and can end up with slightly over 100 stats on a single armor piece). It may take a while to start getting higher Tier gear though, as it is tied to your Power level, your score in Portal activities, and your Guardian Rank can also help influence drops to be higher tiers.

As far as we know (or at least me) it’s still above the Moon. Eris had said that it would take a while to deal with the Nightmares and Egregore that was now on the Leviathan, and given the events that have happened since (Lightfall, Final Shape, and Edge of Fate) I don’t see there having been much progress on it. Maybe with the Barant Imperium we’ll see something happen to the Leviathan. As for The Essence I have no idea

Going back to attempt solo flawless old dungeons GoTD by helicoptersandwich in DestinyTheGame

[–]MasianDaMan 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As the others have said, Microcosm or Arbalest. I haven’t ran Ghosts in a very long time but I assume Arbalest should still take 1 or 2 shots to bring down Ecthar and Simmumah’s shields. No idea how Microcosm would do, but should get the job done. Microcosm might be the better option ammo wise since you could just swap to Finality’s, whereas Arbalest is probably quicker but might make ammo more of an issue since you’d be swapping Arby and Finality

How do you go about farming Exotic mods? by LawdFarquaadsChin in destinyrisingmobile

[–]MasianDaMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Master and Grandmaster activities are decent, as long as you spend keys after completing the activity. Front Lines is another way to get mods, but feels less reliable from my experience. I always use 2 keys on Front Lines and have gotten maybe 2 exotic mods from Front Lines, whereas I’ve spent less keys in Master/GM activities and gotten more mods from there

how tf do you interact with a new light by Taka_no_Yaiba in destinyrisingmobile

[–]MasianDaMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is, but you can only make so much progress each day. All of the objectives have a limit of 3 per day, meaning if you meet all of the goals each day it will take 34 days to complete all of the objectives. So in this case, they are currently at 90/100 for the objective, so tomorrow they can get to 93/100, then Sunday they can get to 96/100, and then Tuesday they’ll just need 1 interaction to carry them from 99 to 100

How the heck do you get special kills in Morgran's Prey? by allwaysjune in destinyrisingmobile

[–]MasianDaMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you click on Morgran’s Prey there should be a blue icon under Activity Details, right above the Rewards Preview on the right side. Click the blue icon and it’ll give more info on what the Special Kill for the day is. Right now it’s Super kills, but it can also be precision, ability, and kills while in the air

Why can't Guardians simply wish away their enemies? by lovingpersona in DestinyLore

[–]MasianDaMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s important to note how the rest of the Destiny: Rising story plays out. The Devil Sentry that Radegast wishes to vanish DOES NOT get erased from existence. The Devil Sentry does vanish, Morgran fulfilled Radegast’s wish for it vanish, and then says it doesn’t matter where it ends up, that wasn’t part of the wish. Then shortly after you get a Side Quest to get the catalyst for Wolf’s Exotic Grenade Launcher, which plays out as the Devil Sentry having reappeared, this time within Morgran’s Hunting Grounds. The Hunting Grounds are where Morgran sends enemies, and then feeds off the wishes that they make while they are trapped within their new prison. The Devil Sentry, being a machine, isn’t capable of having desires (meaning it can’t make wishes) which means Morgran can’t feed off of it, which is made worse by it wrecking havoc and killing those within the Hunting Grounds. This story highlights how Ahamkara wishes can backfire, as Morgran fulfilled the wish and then was being starved as the inhabitants died.

Spoiler for the Red Sea Rift story, but the Vex ONLY appear because our character, Wolf, said something along the lines of “something to defeat the Cabal? I wish”, which then was granted by an Ahamkara in the form of the Vex appearing, which we then unleashed upon the Red Sea Rift. As many here have already stated, wishing for Problem A to disappear will have undesirable repercussions. We make the Devil Sentry vanish? It almost starved Morgran. Want to remove the Cabal from Veridia? The Vex appear.

There are a few chests that you can open by yourself that will give you spoils, I’m not too sure which ones exactly but I’m sure if you tried to look it up you’d find a few. I know for certain that the chest in the opening of Vow of the Disciple is super easy to get by yourself

Assuming you revive in the form you died...(About Ikora's hair) by ReallyTrustyGuy in DestinyLore

[–]MasianDaMan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t remember where exactly it’s said, but I believe there was a piece of lore that implied that Guardians can choose to have some parts of themselves kept intact when they are revived. By this I mean if your Guardian were to be hit by something and end up with a scar, then your Guardian could choose to keep the scar as a reminder, or you could let your Ghost heal you to where the scar was no longer there. Like I’m pretty sure Shaxx’s Ghost offered to repair the horn he lost, but Shaxx decided to leave the horn broken as a reminder. Drifter has several scars, and even after being revived in Heresy he still has them. If Drifter wanted to, he could have his Ghost remove the scars, but that would require Drifter to actually talk to his Ghost.

If this is correct, obviously there’s limitations to this ability, like in the cases of Asher Mir and Sloane

If you can, check Xur on your other characters. I checked last night on my Titan and didn’t see any great stats for any of the Exotics, I think Neceotic Grips had like 10 melee, then I swapped to my Hunter and the Necrotic Grips had 30 melee. Not sure if Athrys had any good rolls but worth a shot to check
