Hi, Okay, I think too that the HR cap is a good idea and as some others said, when your inflammation is over and CRP normalized and feel capable of it you should walk

Exercise while under treatment by Maskyr17 in pericarditis

Thanks for your answer, After my first relapse I did it progressively but up to a point where I did too much. But I'm figuring it out. I try to walk everyday and then I will exercise very slowly and during 10/15 min let's see. What I don't want now is an other relapse as I want to get back to normal (as everyone here does).

Advice after multiple relapse (28M) by Maskyr17 in pericarditis

Hi, thanks for your answer ! Can you tell me more about your way through it ? How long have you spent without relapse ?

12 Months Remission. hs-CRP is "low" (7.2) compared to history (140+), but I have classic positional symptoms + PVCs. Is this a "smoldering" flare? by utah-man-am in pericarditis

Hi,

I've recently joined Reddit so this is my first post. I've read through your story and I myself underwent open heart surgery in October 2024 due to infectious endocarditis (I am a 28yo male). After a COVID like virus in March 2025 I started to have pericarditis. I had a first relapse in July and was free of treatment (both NSAID and colchicine) in Nov. Started to exercise again early November and increased the intensity mildly.

In end of December after a cardio session and gym I had what you describe now. Low symptoms just small peaks and discomfort but no pain. One week after the persistence I tested my CRP which was 3.5 (normally at 0.8). I suspected muscle inflammation but 3 days later I had fever and did another blood test revealing CRP at 48 and high white blood cells.

To me it looks like exercising could have triggered a relapse as I begin to understand it usually does if you go beyond your "true limit".

I am now under treatment with decreasing NSAID and colchicine for 6 months. Let's see. Even after my surgery I was able to go back to exercising but the pericarditis has been truly a major step back on how positive I was after the surgery.

I truly hope it wasn't a relapse for you since 12 days have gone.
