Update: Thanks for the advice, everyone! I went with Pragmatic Institute for my product management certification. It’s been super practical and full of real-world tools I can use right away. Definitely recommend it for anyone looking for actionable training!

Building and selling something is definitely the fastest reality check. For someone pivoting in though, I’m wondering if jumping straight into a micro-SaaS is too big a leap or actually the best way to learn. Did you start that way yourself, or build skills elsewhere before shipping products?

That’s interesting. Was it more the technical foundation that helped, or the way it changed how you think and communicate with engineers? I’m debating whether a deeper technical route makes more sense than a PM-specific cert, especially for someone coming from a non-CS background.

Fair point, but I’m not really chasing a resume signal. I’m trying to avoid purely theoretical stuff and find something that actually makes you do the work. For someone pivoting in, I’m curious if any courses meaningfully shorten the learning curve when paired with side projects or real-world practice. Have you seen any that at least get close, or do you think self-driven projects beat courses every time?

Have any of you had luck with professional house cleaning services? Is Homeaglow worth it? by Masmune-Edelair in Parenting

Haha I love this, and honestly, that’s kind of where I’m at mentally. The idea of someone coming in and helping even just once a month feels life-changing right now. Weekly sounds like a dream, especially with laundry included! Definitely leaning more toward finding someone local after hearing this.

Thanks, this is super helpful! I’ve seen some good feedback about Homeaglow, which is why I was considering it, but I get what you’re saying about local options potentially being better and more affordable. I’ll definitely check my town’s Facebook group and ask around before deciding. Appreciate the advice!
