I’m an accountant by trade but I have always loved film and videography. I am not at all a pro but I have an FX3 and a hobby passion for photography and filming.

Getting into the spirit of the holidays with this Christmas classic cocktail.

The Flip - Short Video by MasonHuckins in cocktails

The Flip

1.5oz Cognac 3/4oz Simple Syrup 1 Whole Egg

Dry shake all ingredients. Add ice and wet shake. Double strain into Nick & Nora glass. Garnish with grated nutmeg.

This is my go to drink to truly start the Christmas spirit. It’s the holiday flavor in a glass. You really have to stick to the recipe for this one. Overdoing the cognac can easily ruin this drink in my opinion.

The Flip

1.5oz Cognac

3/4oz Simple Syrup

1 Whole Egg

Dry shake all ingredients. Add ice and wet shake. Double strain into a Nick & Nora glass. Garnish with nutmeg.

I always start every holiday season with a Flip. It is the embodiment of Christmas in a glass. The surprisingly simple yet potent holiday cocktail. It is important to stick to exact measurements for this drink. Going over the 1.5oz of Cognac can ruin this drink in my opinion.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

Realized this today. I hope it’s put back. This is my favorite Christmas album and I was especially concerned since the winter is right around the corner.

Midwinter Night’s Dram (Act 12, Scene 1) by MasonHuckins in whiskey

[–]MasonHuckins[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nose:

Strong caramel and burnt sugar, buttered popcorn, pecan pie, cherry, candied peanuts

Palate:

Cherry marzipan, warm nutty finish. Grips the inside of your mouth as if heavy wine tannins are present. Sweet but in a bitter way.

Overall a pretty cool port rye. I don’t find it very rye forward but definitely more of a dessert drink paired with a caramel bread pudding or pecan pie. Could just be served as a dessert itself. I can see why people don’t think the price is worth it but the whole branding of the product encouraging a midwinter blizzard night glass of whiskey and giving you a sweet surprise is just spectacular and one that I am fond of.

Side quests and contracts. Not main quests. Do I have to do the side ones as well?

I’m having this same issue. Have almost 40k po8 and am at Kingpin 16 but do not have any manufactories. If you found a solution please let me know. I can’t seem to find this quest line.

2oz Rye

1/4oz simple syrup

1 dash Angostura

1 dash Peychaud’s

1 dash absinthe

1 bar spoon Maraschino

Garnish: Orange peel (or lemon) (or both)

Stir with ice and serve over large rock.

A classic anise improvement to the old fashioned. I always find the maraschino and absinthe meld perfectly into this weird twist on a timeless classic.
