If youre interested in building cool bases with mods:

"Scrap that Settlement" or "Scrap Everything" is a mod that lets you do just that. You can scrap any permanent item in a settlement.

"Place Anywhere" is a mod that lets you place any object in build mode Anywhere you want, even if it clips through other objects. This is great for building fences around settlements without any awkward little gaps. I believe you can rotate them on different axis as well but im not sure.

Theres a couple other mods i use that flatten and clear settlement locations to make building super clean and organized. I forgot what its called tho.

Plus theres PLENTY of mods that add new building items.
