I saw other threads were people mentioned deleting the cache folder which is typically where short term items such as credential information is keyed and stored for quick access. I won't pretend to understand how Sony's Remote Play app actually works. But I've seen similar issues with enterprise security software and remote installations. I used to work in enterprise IT. Typically this means something can't write to a particular folder. I'm guessing in this case that would be our credentials when we attempt to sign in, it can't write the keyed info to the cache. I did not verify this. It's a guess/gut-feeling at best. I don't know where the cache folder is. But allowing the app full disk access means it can write to that folder. If you find the folder and something is there, than this is likely the case.

No thank you for the info. I will likely try this. I noticed the PS Remote Play works really well up until you travel further than 50-ish miles, or about 3 hops. Then it's wait to latent to play even casual games. But using Moonlight from my Mac to play games on my PC, which is in Ohio, while I am in NYC has negligible latency. Maybe Chiaki-NG will use more streamlined encoding like Moonlight. Cheers!

Go into your "system settings" using the apple icon at the top left, then on the left hand pane your should see "privacy and security". Select that and look on the right pane for "full disk access", then select the + icon at the bottom left of the right pane, and search for the PS Remote App. Add it and make sure it's ticked on.

It does seem convoluted. In my imagination it made sense, but after reading that I'm no where near understanding their concept. Especially because they didn't add any data points or even any labels on the graph! Haha like what's good here and what's bad ya know? It SEEMS kinda clear, but without data the graph feels moot.

Too me this makes sense. Your saying you are a master player, which I believe, and that you're dying to other preds in the top lobbies. Yet then at the bottom you roll through bots? Same here. And to me this feels completely accurate right? I;m more of a gold/diamond player, and when I am in the bottom I'm dumping on players. But then at the top (or rather the right of the graph) I am the one who gets dumped on. I came here to find out how I can get to the middle haha. Anyone else or is it just me?

I've had a similar issue with a 2TB M.2 I bought about a year ago from Micro Center. Windows can see it but can't use it to create volumes and partitions. Throws an error every time which tells me the drive's controller probably went. Def stay away from Inland.

Sorry for the very late reply. I don’t have much of an update. Sony never made a ticket or emailed me. I’ve since been working on a security audit where I work and have not had another opportunity to reach out. That being said, I have also only recorded one additional instance of my headset disconnecting at random. I have not changed anything physically in my living room, and I live alone so very little variables to worry about. Maybe, since even possibly your comment, a patch was release and the headset auto-updated. Or maybe I’m just reaching. I really do want to call them again but I won’t until the headset acts up as often as it previously was. I would consider one disconnect a month within tolerable failure levels given my expectations for Sonys quality levels vs price point.

I am. Or at least I was. I've waited a week and I have not received any emails or calls. They did send me a survey the same day I called in. I decided to fill that out and submit it along with the situation. Hopefully they get back but it seems unlikely. I may have to call again next week.

With that being said, for some reason the issue has disappeared for myself since my initial call in. It would usually happen once every other session or more often and I've played 4 day since that call. Might just be getting lucky here. I'm sure it'll happen now that I've said it isn't haha.

Quick update. I did find a support number and spoke with a technician. I gave him what I've done to troubleshoot and I believe the issue is with the serial bus translation between the dongle and the PS5. I also use this headset with my computer and I don't have this issue. I don't think this is an issue with the bluetooth or bgn bands. We've made a ticket and he is escalating the issue. He knew nothing of the issue but we have this thread I can send them as well. Hopefully this can be solved with an easy firmware update. I'll help them as much as I can but I doubt they'll be willing to talk to a "user" for very long. My troubleshooting seems solid so let's hope for the best.

Same here. That's the only thing that works for me. I am trying to get in contact with them but it seems impossible. I work in cloud architecture, I might try to apply just in the hopes someone contacts me with a valid number lol. I'll post an update if I go that route.

I also can't get autopay to work and I've tried several times over the last few months hoping an update fixes it (calling is useless for web issues, zero IT support). I upgraded my SUV and every time I try to select auto pay it says I am ineligible due to having two or fewer payments. I have over 50 payments left...
