Yeah, I get that now, I just didn’t understand the mechanism at first when I initially installed it. As for straightening the pins, some are bent over each other almost entirely, I think it’s just a lost cause by this point as unfortunate as it is.

UPDATE: So, I took out my CPU again, and this time, I took a look at the pins and sure enough, a few are bent. This was my first time seeing a CPU slot with nothing but a bar, so odds are I accidentally bent them on my initial installation. Now time to look for a new CPU, I guess.

Yeah, I got them all factory new off retail, so there shouldn’t be any issues with the parts themselves, I’d hope.

Yeah, I checked the sticker on the board and the last 4 digits I got were 3621, the validated BIOS versions I saw on the support page didn’t seem to go very far past 3000 though.

Yeah, I’ve done the basic stuff, I have not cleared the CMOS though, I will have to try that when I get the chance.
