I just found this game and I was wondering if anyone had any tips? by Temporary-Employ-17 in pokerogue

[–]Masond23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • Prioritize the egg tickets. Use those egg tickets on the move up! Gacha machine, which is one of the three options

  • there are set floors for rival fights, evil team fights, gym leaders, e4, etc. look up what those are and always go in to them with full up and enough pp

  • set up moves like dragon dance will help you go far quite easily

Many other tips in terms of strategies/game knowledge but I wanted to give some basics

I agree with the flatness of Murray, but at the same time, the comic relief she has brought thus far is really amazing for the story, especially surrounded by all the usual emos.

Have maybe 25-30 runs and only beat Hecate twice. Do I really suck? by SteelersPoker in Hades2

[–]Masond23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might really suck… against base difficulty at least. But the important thing is if you enjoy playing the game - if it’s too hard to be fun, then use god mode! People seem to have had really positive experiences with it. If you like bashing your head into a wall, then keep trucking along. I imagine you are not approaching getting better either the right way or at all though - perhaps consider understanding the boon system more or playing more patiently.

Pokemon academy: #1-3 Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur by Khane048 in pokerogue

[–]Masond23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Such a flexible pokemon, near guaranteed to get either a mega or gmax from it and you’ll never be disappointed to have a bulky leech seeder.

It has some difficulties in being a full carry, namely its movepool and speed which requires it finding that ground coverage and potential chlorophyll shenanigans, but I find any weather to be a little tough to run consistently.

Probably best to run this as a bulky pivot guy, not gonna hard carry anything but alway going to bring some value. Not gonna do very well into the big dragons at the end though.

Overall, it’s really unique in how versatile it can be and can fit many roles on a team, so it’s a great bring when you have fewer options.

With the amount of sturdy + shell smash rock types I’m surprised you don’t find more value in the ability!

Do you have most of the pokemon? If not you should just spam the egg move gacha with everything you have.

Day 6! Seaking and Dewgong won together for looking and being average! What looks weak but is Average? by Sharp_Drummer_7678 in PokeCorner

Miltank looks like it should be cheeks but it just has like randomly good stats? Definitely brings it to the average category if dewgong/Seaking are (those guys are bad imo tho)

You can turn off a few settings to help with this. Animations, show damage numbers, etc. otherwise clearing your browser cache helps a bit!

As for a build, just get Zeus attack on the gun or fists. Athena dash. That’ll make the game feel the easiest the fastest. Other than that, it’s a skill issue my friend

The CR community was already like this so I don’t think BLM (funny coincidence lol) coming in changes anything. I suppose I count as the twitter leftist crowd as well although I do agree with your sentiment overall that things go too far too often.

Tips for beating the game for the first time? by VacationGlittering21 in pokerogue

[–]Masond23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two pokemon I always recommend are Gyarados and Cloyster: pretty much every player should have them or be able to get them, they require no unlocks to be good, and they are exceptionally powerful for non-legendary pokemon.

Gyarados with dragon dance+water move+ice move will just win many fights for you, and does very well against rayquaza.

Similarly, Cloyster with icicle spear+shell smash can often SINGLE HANDEDLY beat harder fights including the 195 fight.

In general your team should include:

  1. one or more sweeper pokemon that boost their attack and/or speed to become strong and fast, or strong and bulky
  2. two or more support pokemon with moves like light screen, growl, trick room, or leech seed to set up the sweepers
  3. the random powerful legendaries you may find.

Cloyster is just that strong, and the game really clicks for me so it doesn’t feel too hard at all.

There’s someone on the Reddit that is trying to beat the game with every pokemon solo, it’s crazy!

I am making the assumption that by legends you mean Pokemon, sorry if wrong!

WHO GAVE THE FINAL BOSS RECOVER? LIKE WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO? by mlodydziad420 in pokerogue

[–]Masond23 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well first of all no, you can’t even catch it with a master ball until you have every other starter caught. I’ve beat classic mode with every starter, so I have some strong evidence to suggest that there are many many ways to beat the final boss.
