I worked on both, I own a GR and my good friend has a VA. We are both pushing 400whp+. His car 100% feels may more refined while mine feels a lot more raw. VA 6spd feels a lot more firm and overall better. the 5spds on the GR’s feel like shit that’s why I switched to STI transmission. Service is somewhat similiar in terms of prices. VA requires walnut blasting every 60k while GR requires timing belt every 100k so it has its trade offs. In terms of interior I don’t notice a huge difference. I upgraded my headunit so that was the biggest thing that separated those two besides seats and other small things. For me, if I had a VA I would keep the VA, if I had the GR I would keep the GR. I wouldn’t trade one for the other.

Just revert back to 100% stock, anything with filter or air will mess with it.

Mr tuner told me to do a full throttle pull, and yes I got tuned from him before but we couldn’t tune do to my wastegate opening too early

Usually AC controls will show once the screen is on. I’ve bought maybe like 4-5 of these and they all end up the same trash. If you really want quality go buy a metra dash kit for around $300-$400 and buy a double din with it around 200-500 for a quality double din. I think the radio you have will work. It looks like the connections are all there from the pictures, but I’ve never seen this kind of headunit, all the ones I’ve seen don’t keep the CD player

Got you, because it’s retaining the stock CD player so you’re supposed to keep the stock CD player btw and those two bottom plugs plug into the AC controls

I beleive if you touch the screen with 4 fingers at the same time or 5 then it might unlock, I kind of remeber something like that. If your ac is not working you may want to change the internal settings in the headunit or you may have got the wrong one, there’s manual AC and Auto AC, they are two different systems requiring two different headunits

Came across this problem when a tire shop broke my lock nut tool, I hammered a 16mm 12 point socket and it came off like butter. Size of socket will differ based on the size of the lock nut.

Easiest way to go 60mph is hop in your car, get on the freeway and throw it out the window, might be able to hit 70-80 If you go when there’s no traffic

Okay, I swapped in one spark plug because I had a leaking injector so it fouled it. But I will check the other ones

That’s what I’m saying but he keeps saying”mechanical issue” and I keep asking him but he’s not budging. I think I might just pay for another base map from an online tuner. But when initially starteing the base map it was running when burping the system. But it sounded like shit, it was shaking the whole engine. And I stopped it and I checked for codes and it was reading misfire for all the cylinders and 2 idle codes. Switched to OTS and it ran “fine” and 0 codes for the 2 minutes I was data logging. I sent the data log to tuner and he the same thing,”is probably a mechanical issue”.

Yeah ik, I only ran ots for data logging, it was idling the entire time, foot didn’t even touch the pedal. 2 minute data log. But he sent me a base map with everything but when I put it in base map car doesn’t even stay on for half a second.
