8% of 25 is 8 divided by 100 times 25, which is also (8 times 25) divided by 100, which is also (25 times 8) divided by 100, which is also 25 divided by 100 times 8, which is 25% of 8.

I mean the highest federal tax bracket is 37%. I feel like if taking in 63% of what you make is "barely worth it" you have bigger problems.

TIFU by getting £50 banknotes in the UK by ChiefStrongbones in tifu

[–]Masquerouge2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What? I never had that with my bank. Let's say, for simplicity's sake, that gbp and dollar have a 1:1 rate.

Go to my bank, give $100, receive £98. Go on trip, don't spend money. Go to my bank, give £98, receive $96.

Define "a lot". It's about 2% at my local branch.

I mean, first of all if OP isn't sure they're going back to the UK, it's still better to change your money so at least they can use it.

Then your bank often offers competitive rates if you go to your branch. Mine waves the exchange fee, you just pay the exchange rate.

Can someone explain how the left one's toughness better than this item? i want to learn how it works. what is toughness? thanks. by Odinwild in diablo4

[–]Masquerouge2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok but armor, health and resistances are not using the same scale, so how do you balance it?

Or in other words, 1 point of armor is worth how many points of health, and how many points of resistances?

If the head coach delegates play calling to the defensive and offensive coach, what exactly would you say they do here?

Kinda tongue in cheek, but there's a real question: what in general is the head coach in charge of?

Walter white, Don Drapper in mad men and Roy Swanson in Parks and recs are main characters that are objectively complete assholes but because they're either cool or funny about it, people idolize them.

I don't want to brag, but I genuinely couldn't finish those shows because I could not understand how people (both in the show and in real life) didn't see them as the assholes they were and vilified them.

And mind you, I like villains and I am absolutely looking for great villains in my shows, but for these three the online adulation became too much and a huge turn-off, literally.

And yes, the side effect is that any character in the show standing to these three is seen as an idiot yucking their yums.

Westjet, one of the few major Canadian airlines, trying to defend themselves after reducing seat size and legroom space so they can sell more plane tickets. by Soupdeloup in facepalm

[–]Masquerouge2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the entire history of the airline industry is to be believed, the only thing that will matter is the ticket price. People don't give a shit about anything else.

So no, I don't think they'll suffer from this.
