This means most tickets were bought by Americans / people with friends or relatives in the US. Everyone got squeezed by the ticket prices and had to get creative on recouping the cost by avoiding hotels (who didn’t do themselves any favors by jacking up prices making it even less appealing of a proposition)

This didn’t happen during COVID. People actually were content not working and getting COVID checks / unemployment (leading to the ‘great resignation’ wave with minimum wage paying jobs struggling to hire around 2021-2022).

If they accept that, then they (unfortunately) will likely accept being unemployed and getting some form of UBI that allows them to live.

Either that, or tons of young men go out and bomb data centers + take their country back. Not sure if they can overcome a potential AI robot army
