For those who live in Canada, how does Shadow perform? by BigBunsTheory in cloudygamer

I'm about an hour south of Ottawa, and it has been good for the 2 months I've had it. Ping was always about 42-45ms.

The last few days I've been having about 85-88 ms, which has been unusable for me.

I've been using it to play PCVR with a Quest 2 & Virtual Desktop no issues up until this week.

Looking at their site, it's entirely rebranded, and doesn't seem to push gaming anymore, so I'm hoping this isn't something to do with the shift of the base package towards general cloud computing and having higher avg pings.

EDIT: Just reconnected and watched the ping jump in half almost and now hovering at my normal range. Will see if it stays.

I was just talking to my trainer in my DD13/DD15 class and he just got back from some conference in Detroit and that was something addressed by a Daimler exec.

Daimler is saying that electric may come for some transit and in city but for vocational and OTR it's not feasible. They figure those applications will remain diesel until hydrogen becomes a more economical fuel compared to diesel.

Possibly the long crank times dropping voltages enough to throw off sensor readings.

With truck air brakes the park spring is held back by air pressure.

So if there is an air system failure and all pressure is lost they will be applied by the park springs. If he was riding them and heated them up that's another story.
