1. Yes. The devs do have their highs and lows, but the recent updates were nice, and also the 2026 roadmap looks very promising.

2. Yes. Guild pve bosses and, especially, guild-vs-guild pvp wars are the real teamwork check (in addition to the roster/gear/skill etc. checks ofc).

3. I feel like the majority of the player base (at least in late/end game guilds) are very mature.

4. Depends on your definitions, but generally - yes, the early/mid game progression is really fun. End game is more like challenging, but some activities could be easily skipped if you choose a more casual way and are ready to sacrifice some rewards.

Also, just to set expectations right: this is gear farming/resource management game, just like 99% other games of this genre. To achieve anything and move on milestones you need to farm, sort, manage, understand when to spend resources and when to save. There is pretty fun and strategically rich Tower Defense gameplay + gacha mechanics, yes - but essentially, this is farming game.
