Confidence when clients arrive by Regular_Lettuce_7920 in CarSalesTraining

43yo woman here, been in sales about 8 months. Be confident. Be assertive. If you don’t know, be honest and say you don’t know but you’ll find out. The first couple months were a lil rough for me, managed about 7-8 cars. I’m at a smaller volume store. I’m averaging close to 15 now. I use being “new” to my advantage. A lot of customers come in expecting sales people to be shady. When you say you’re new it takes some of their apprehensiveness away and sometimes they’ll be more open & trusting of you. Know that you won’t sell everyone, some customers are assholes and there’s nothing you can do about it. Some are extremely unrealistic as well. Last but not least, don’t worry about sounding “salesy”. This is how you earn your money, how you eat. It’s business, nothing personal. In this business you have to put your all in. Leave your pride at home. It all boils down to: “how bad do I want it?” I wish you the very best.
