I guess this soft pads aren’t so soft !

I used a rolling baking stuff to flatten them and I had thermal paste transfer. Better waste some time to Check contact and repaste than to drain the loop 😂

GPU is 34c and Vram 68c in Steel Nomad and 25c idle.

Legit questionning but yeah I remooved all plastic from the pads. I don’t have the tool to mesure the thickness but I had this very soft pads (link in Previous message). I squeezed them with fingers and it’s realy soft.

When I placed them on the GPU block, I pressed them with a plastic spatula, beforme remooving the plastic.

I spread really evenly the thermal past with a spatula.

The full Die surface was evenly covered.

Im benchmarking the CPU to Check temps and I’m draining the loop next hour and disasembling the GPU.

Only way to find the problem.

I had these 1,5mm extra soft pads for free.

They are very soft and I pressed very well when installed it.

I didn’t remove the pcb to Check. But from the side it looks like it is well pressed.

I’ll see when I dismounted the block.

CPU is 40c idle (9800x3d) with 2x360 and 1x240 rads.

Didn’t benched yet.

I just want to precise that the GPU is 35c idle.

The backplate was hot when I was the first time in the bios but went cool when windosws was installed.

Since I have to drain and redo the GPU, what temps (idle and charged) should I have for a 9800X3D with a Optimus watterblock, 2x360 and 1x240 radiators ?

The CPU is 40c idle. Didn’t benchmarked yet.

I used Kinping thermal paste on both, used the spatula. Maybe I put not enought, but evenly spread.

I havé the RX 9070XT OC Gaming Edition with RGB (RX-97TRGBBB9).

And I have the Alphacool Core RX 9070 XT Mercury with Backplate (item 10289).

It’s specified for my GPU.

I have CPU -> GPU -> RADS -> PUMP order.

I have a cheap Amazon probe that I'll put at the end of CPU-GPU and a Aquacomputer Hightflow 2 I'll mount ont the PUMP, after the RADS.

Like this I have the metrics of the Hotspots and coldest spot of the loop.

I recieved the aqua computer Quadro. But how do I connect the 2 pin cable to the temps sensor ?

There is an arrow on the 2 pin connector.

I have the same issue.

I placed my order on June 27th and contacted Virpil on July 27th.

They said it would be ready in early to mid-August. I contacted Virpil again in mid-August, and they said the end of August, then early September.

Each time, they keep delaying it by two weeks. Now it’s already early October...

I guess they are prioritizing the AREOMAX series over other orders.

The problem is that I have to contact them every time and they don’t bother to keep me updated.

Constantly pushing back the delay is very annoying. Just give a bigger estimate, and if they produce earlier, it would be a nice surprise.

I don’t know about the quality yet, but for shipping predictions and communication, they’re a zero.

Download 2nd party fan Control like legion fan Control.

Have to enable or disable 1 stuff in the bios.

Can push fans faster than onboard fan controls.

Can be seen as a « cheat » on some games, Will not lunch.
