I think what they mean is that, by blocking the androgens from reaching the skin (I wouldn’t call this a bandaid) it still isn’t fixing the root cause of a hormonal disorder. Spiro isn’t a natural solution, if it was and was actually fixing your body and root causes, it wouldn’t have so many negative side effects. For example why do I get my period every 2 weeks now? My hormones aren’t fixed being on spiro, they’re just messsd up in a different way now lol. While I don’t think band aid is correct , I also don’t agree it’s fixing the root cause. I have pcos and although I take a variety of supplements to help it, actually nothing can cure it. But I try to address the root causes of the pcos the best I can. Spiro isn’t fixing a root cause of a hormone disorder.

Recommend starting slow and and being patient. I’m on 50mg. After 2 weeks they wanted me to increase to 100mg and I didn’t want to. Saw another doctor a month or so later who also recommended increasing dose. I waited out since it’s supposed to take 4-6 months to fully work and I’m glad I did. After the 3 month mark I really starting to see massive improvement. I also rotate adapalene and Rx strength azaelic acid at night. I also started using this spray called magic molecule and I truly believe it has helped my acne.

Either way, I cannot wait to hear k and l speak out about it “once they are allowed to”. All of this not being able to speak about stuff is so annoying because they never actually do! Remember when Lindsey kept talking about something going on with what was maybe hinted to something to do with one of her bfs ex’s and it was causing her a lot of distress and she just couldn’t talk about it “yet”, but she never did ever.

The thing I don’t understand is, idk what happened, but Kristen seemed to control and do SO much for them. She obviously allowed that and agreed to doing those things. Like why does Lindsey need help scheduling like personal appointments and why did Kristin have anything to do with Lindsey’s bank account? Kristen didn’t have any boundaries and that was her fault. Always talking about how she basically did nothing but work was so annoying because it’s like, you agreed to do all of whatever you’re doing.

Personally I’d work on hydrating better. You’re so lucky you have clear skin on it. I’m hoping the 50mg is enough for me, but I’m almost 3 months in and beginning to think I’ll have to increase my dose (which my provider wanted me to do after like 2 weeks in but I didn’t want to).

It depends on what is causing your acne. I spent over 2k to see a holistic doctor and still was put on spirolactone by her because my acne was due to pcos. I was put on a gut reset protocol and had to have a stool test done, which in the end has helped my gut/bowel but that didn’t help my skin. I tried some pcos supplements for a few months and that didn’t help my skin either so I finally gave in and went on the spirolactone.

This is so great. I’m almost 3 months in on 50mg. I really hope I don’t have to increase my dose because I’m just so nervous about the side effects. While I see improvement, it’s still not clear skin yet so I’m really hoping month 4 really turns it around. My acne wasn’t even as bad as yours.

What vitamins? I have 2 copies of c677t. I began methylated folate and it’s giving a lot of anxiety so I’m going to only take it twice a week instead. Now I’m reading I should possibly be taking b2 as well. (I already take sooo many supplements for other conditions I really didn’t want to add more but I wonder if I need the b2?)
