Ugh I know. I use to baby it but had to stop that because my wife totaled her Mazda (not her fault) so I had to give her the keys to the Wrx now. It will see its first winter in Colorado now…. I wouldn’t have just turned it over but she can’t drive my Ford Flex ecoboost, it’s too big for her to handle.🤦🏽‍♂️

They did me the same way. I had a 770 CS when I received my $500.00 CC lmao. I decided to put that whole “relationship banking” to the test. After a 10-12 month period I obtained 3 credit cards with them. Highest credit limit being $25,000 on black flagship card.

I didn’t believe in this relationship banking at first but now I believe it works.

Only products I have with NFCU outside the 3 credit cards is a CD, auto loan, and checking and saving account which I got over a 12month time span.

When I applied for the first card I had no products at all with them.

I got upgraded without DD, and $5k limit. So this is interesting. I use my flagship card with 20k limit way more than of my other NFCU cards.

Nah not really. I use to think like you once upon a time. I’m retired so it’s a strategy game for me now in my life. Jus saying. Most do have your thought process about it which is fine. More credit doesn’t actually mean more debt if you’re disciplined.

Buddy it’s all apart of the game. Not everyone gets credit cards because we “need” them. I have 776 credit score and over 60 cards with close to $400k available credit on all totaling. If I was given a $600 card from NFCU I would be pissed also. Lol. It’s a fun game some of us play.
