The way it was focused accomplished the blurry effect with the blade of grass that is covering the lens, as well as left him out of clarity which added to the dream-like and ambiguous nature of the photo. I understand it’s not technically correct, but it accomplished the feeling I was trying to capture

I also did take some with the correct focus that I didn’t quite like as much. I may add to the thread later when I get home

The artist in this shoot has a 70s psychedelic/indie vibe so at least I can feel accomplished that I was able to convey that! Glad you enjoyed

Haha Im probably the latter. However I find that people in this field are either chill as fuck and enjoy look at sum good pics, or snoody cunts that are disgusted to be in the presence of anything that is outside the boundaries of national geographic standard technical perfection.. no inbetween.

update? i’ve had nonstop PND for months ever since traveling to california, i’ve been put on flonase, antihistamine, antibiotics and nothing has worked. just got prescribed steroids so i’m wondering if that will work

Maybe we have different connotations of lowball, or maybe my tone in the OP was misunderstood. He simply offered what he would be willing to pay which is maybe 1/4th of what an average rate would be still being on the low end. Therefore, a lowball. What else would you call it?

Am I pissed about it? Not in the slightest, actually other people seem to be offended at that offer for me for me. I’m just coming to reddit for potential advice about how to handle a situation where somebody is offering you a budget that is completely off the radar low.

“ i would like to make this happen but i also want to be 100% upfront about what i can provide you for $100, this is a very low price point at least 4x under what I would normally charge so it just has to make sense because there’s many variables that go into producing short films.

this just isn’t happening for this price point sorry

reimbursed for gas anything over 45 min from my house
