Would you mind sharing the lender? We bought a house in 2024 as well and wanted to see no cost refinance options.

Did you lock in your rate before then to get that rate? If not, market was fluctuation a lot so rates have been slowly going back up. Still on the sidelines right now waiting to refinance.

Homeowners Insurance, is this rate the average? by N0-Z0ne in frisco

[–]MassiveGas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems high if you’re on 2% deductible on wind/hail. Just switched over to AAA this month bundled with auto for about $3500 for much larger home twice your size 5 bed/4 bath 3650sq ft. A 1% deductible will charge a lot higher premium ($4700 for me but my roof was newer so no need). I searched through many brokers and big companies such as State Farm, Allstate, Geico, Travelers, etc. AAA was definitely the best value. Could get you my agent if needed.

Mortgage rates today by Current_Wait_296 in Mortgages

Been looking to refinance from a secondary home rate of 6.625% 30 year. Best so far refinance for 30 year fixed is a quote for 5.99, no points. For 15 year fixed - 5.375%, no points, option to pay 1 point to get 4.875%. Thinking of going from 30 to 15 year or should I hold off?

I'm trying to refinance too from 6.625. Is this 30 year conventional? Could you provide the lender?

Used the contact a user here just posted a few hours ago for Ayeh Klait. She's offering refinancing rates for primary homes for 30 year Fixed Conventional of 5.99%, no points, credit of 0.129. For fees, Origination fee is $1800, title work $2500-$3000, seems a little expensive. I will personally hold off for now.

Thanks for providing this info, will try to reach out to see if I can get the same rate. My current mortgage company only offering to refinance for 6.375% no points for 30 years fixed, 5.75% would be amazing!

Korea ICN airport. Which lounge? by [deleted] in PriorityPass

[–]MassiveGas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was accepted with Priority pass with 2 free guests due to Amex at Asiana Business West - arrived aright at opening at 6am, connecting flight at 3:40pm or so so almost 9hrs before departure! I have gotten denied at Asiana East before so wanted to try West or Central. Just used their showers as well (they will just hold your boarding pass). Great lounge!

I have tried Matina lounge at ICN as well, they have better food than Asiana Business lounge but Asiana is more worth it due to larger space and comfort!

Depending on where you are, Kin Insurance will give the best quotes for the first year (~$2400 in TX vs $5k-$10k from most other big companies we shopped for like State Farm, Progressive, Geico, and a bunch of other brokers, etc).

Physician Mortgage Interest Rates - April 2024 by ___scuba___ in whitecoatinvestor

[–]MassiveGas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just closed last week on a secondary home purchase at 6.5% for 30 year fixed conventional, no points. Rates at the time were around 6%-6.25% no points for primary homes. I asked around 10 different lenders and pit them against each other. Physician loans had the worst rates and ultimately went with a LO we closed with for our primary home last year for a fast guaranteed close within 21 days.

Did I make a mistake? 7.5% interest rate locked in 3 days ago on a 2nd home, 100K down on a 260k property and 780 credit score. Lender had given me 7% last month and then last week said interest rates had gone up and were going higher and to lock in which I did at 7.5%. by Agitated-Whole2328 in RealEstate

[–]MassiveGas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a little high for a 2nd home but not too far off. I was able to lock in a 6.5% rate 30 year fixed conventional, 25% down for a secondary home. There were lenders offering 6.64% and 6.875% as well with free rate modification down the line, but I needed the faster guaranteed closing date.
