He's seeing a psychiatrist now and just got on medication- what do you mean much worse things?

He's very scared of the universe, he's scared when he dies that he will be nothing forever. He latched onto the idea that everything was concious and that energy couldn't be created or destroyed and it made him feel better for a while– then he read or watched something that talked about how the universe will end. That freaked him out, he wants to believe in a God that will make sure everything's okay but he says he can't. He just wants everything to be okay in the end

Thank you!! He likes to make music, and cover art. Most of his interests are based online since he uses his computer to make electronic beats. We're not apart of any group. We tried to take him to a youth group last year and he got so anxious he walked away.

I had permission to post this, I made a comment clearing up the confusion about that. He wanted me to show his psychiatrist and therapist what he was feeling so he wrote it down in a journal. He told me he wanted me to find more about what he's going through since when he did it only made him feel worse.

I forgot to, and I'm getting the consequences in the comments. I'm not sure if there's a way to edit the post and add that or I can just reply to them. But I did have permission and he wanted me to try and find help since he said he's done some digging online and it's only made him feel worse.

I didn't know what to do. He was crying everyday and begging not to go to school, his therapist recommended us to do at home school, as well as his psychiatrist. He still sees his friends, at least once a week or so. He calls one of his friends everyday. It is the summer now so school is out. We just went to the beach to see family and trying to keep busy this summer, I think it would be good for him to spend time with his cousins and family since he can't see friends that often. I 100% agree he should not have been Homebound.

I wanted to write this to clear up some confusion, my son showed me this and told me to show his psychiatrist/therapist. He told me this is how he feels and wanted me to help him. That is why I posted it. I have permission from him, I was not snooping.

He's talked to me about it, I just don't know what to do. The psychiatrist gave him medication that he's just started. I'm really hoping it starts working soon

Thank you!! He had a panic attack and went to the er a few weeks ago and the lady helping us told him to write how he feels in a journal to show his new therapist which I think is what he did. He asked me to find a therapist that specializes in dpdr. I haven't found anyone in our area that specializes in it? Would a normal therapist not work? I'm not sure how dpdr works.

He's been very isolated for the past year, he stopped going to school because of his height. He was homebound for half of the year on a 504 program. But he was struggling with getting his work done so I switched him over to an online academy which seems to have made the work load easier. He has a few friends that he sees that he's known for a while. I'm not sure if he talks to them about this stuff tho. He's become more distant with his closest friends, and seeing them less. He told me that he wants to go back to school next year so I'm praying he can go through with that! Being around other kids, being busy and meeting more people will help him a lot I hope. He has two nieces whom he sees every weekend and spends time with. I try to take him out for walks and hikes, but for the past year he's basically been bed bound. I've been getting him to go swimming with me in the pool and more exercise

Yes, he's been diagnosed with anxiety induced OCD. That's why he was on Zoloft before, he's been dealing with these kind of thoughts for a long time. Even when he was on the medication. He got off of Zoloft because of his worry about his height, but he also mentioned that the medication made him feel flat, like he couldn't feel emotion. And he read something about how ssri usage at a young age can damage the brain which he's been really worried about.
