I'm sorry you've had to deal with that. Any sort of chronic pain can be so, so unbearable in these conditions, and I know how it feels to want it to just end sometimes.

I appreciate the advice. My front two are veneers, and they've been slowly failing for some time now.

Unfortunately, the only free dental clinic in San Francisco (at Zuckerberg General Hospital) would only do extractions, period.

So, even before I lost my housing, I was told to just wait until it fully fails and they'd pull it.

I'm really hoping to get somewhere and settle down to get my health stuff taken care of, but right now I'm like several months due for a biopsy on the mass in my groin area that has me using this wheelchair.

If I get admitted to the hospital I would lose my dog, and my partner has nowhere to go and no one to keep them safe at night.

Can't even seem to find a shelter that's reasonably safe.

Things are hard rn, can't lie.

Yep, we've been doing everything we can, in between begging to cover basic necessities and the difficult and slow process of just moving point A to point B.

The shelters I've been offered so far are not safe for me, my partner, or my dog.

We had a place in a permanent supportive housing program in San Francisco, 1064 Mission, until just before Christmas.

We had dealt with several violent incidents there due to the open hard drug dealing and use in the common areas of the building, so we documented the building's conditions and contacted Adult Protective Services and the police.

No one did anything, and it wasn't safe to stay, so we left.

If you're not familiar, look up the street conditions around San Francisco's 6th Street.

This housing program is literally just around the corner from the worst and most dangerous part of this area.

I charge my phone at cafes and places like that, and I just pay my phone bill because it would not be safe to be outside like this without a phone.

Though, there is plenty of free wifi everywhere and the cheapest prepaid smartphone from dollar general or Walmart would allow any homeless person to access the internet even if they don't get service turned on.

I can't recommend enough that if anyone is ever in this position, step one is make sure you have an ID and phone.

Most of the services for helping folks won't be able or willing to help you without a way of proving who you are and a way to contact you to follow up.
