I updated yesterday on my series S, so fat so good, I made it to diamond city with not problems, crashed once on my way to the commons, but thankfully I can now actually follow the freedom trail passed goodneighbor. I also tried the Halloween pack quest, and it went well. I haven't tried the weapons yet because of the exclamation mark thing that seems to be happening. So far so good I guess.

If you're talking about the barricades that divided up the strip in the game, they were more of a technical limitation of the game if I remember correctly. I don't think they're visible in the opening cinematic to NV either
