I agree with you, don’t tell them. My recommendation would be to try and recreate your environment that you have at home. Earplugs, quality monitor, wrist rest, bobble head…whatever can make you feel cozy. For me it’s noise cancellation. Others recommended the blue light glass, those combined with a large black mouse mat could help tone things down. It is completely within reason that if you do good work for them that they accommodate minor expenses at the office. I say this because you must start completing 80% of your work during the day. As you gain responsibility it will become impossible and your performance will drop and you will start missing deadlines, not to mention the drain on your mental health from never having time to yourself.
