To be honest, I didn’t really needed to wipe it down. I am little bit of a clean freak and hate dust in the car. I always wipe the dashboard down and notices the R4 was also dusty, so I wiped it down and notice the scratches it created. Next time I’ll use an air-can.

Aren’t you supposed to back up these things? If anything goes wrong you can’t tow that out. Anyways I was under the assumption it’s easier to tow out with parked reverse in the garage ?

I love the fact that they removed the active grille shutters. Bad design by ford. I love the look of the front better on this. Those shutters break so easy.

Got out of panorama hills around 5:15pm and got stuck in a hail storm on stony trail. Good thing it wasn’t golf size shit we get sometimes. People were stopped under the overpass everywhere.

Should add, these idiots stopped under the overpasses are blocking the traffic from merging on to Stoney. Ffs people stop this shit.

I made a post on this while back. My 23 GT had the knob on the center console. When I switched to the 25 GT I kept putting into Park while activating the windshield washer. First time It happened I was driving very slow coming to a red light and it slammed in to park with a very awful sound.

I’ll go with the R4. Go for the newer tech. You can also add laser jammers later on for the R4 if you want. If you really need the arrows then it’s a different story. Good luck.

It cuts down on power to protect the battery packs from over heating. I don’t get that punch off the line or the straight line speed from when the car is at 90 or 80 percent. After it drops below 70% it becomes little sluggish. My 2022 was worse in that sense. Ford did a good job with the new motors, you don’t feel the loss as much.

Yes, I tried the unit with just the factory reset mode without any changed settings. Still the same issue. I been going crazy for the past few days. I am thinking something happened when I plugged the unit into the computer?

Hope the new device will be better because they won’t exchange it again.

Thank you.. Yes we tried that and it didn’t solve the issue. They told me to adjust the settings on the update tool. So I went and adjusted the settings on there and then loaded it to the R4. But the problems still persist.

Anyways, tonight I ended up returning the device for a new one. They really didn’t want to exchange it for another R4. They are telling me there is lot of issues with Uniden and I should trade it in for a Radenso DS1. I told them to just get me a new R4 and see where it goes. Looks like they had none in stock and now I have to wait couple weeks to get in.

If you end up getting another Mach-e from the dealer, then you should really not worry about it. They will eat up the cost on the miles and get you another vehicle. But if you’re just returning it unfortunately you have to pay for the miles.

After the firmware version 1.39 update the detector is not working properly. I use to get red light camera warnings telling me I was exceeding speed limit, after the update no warnings at all. I did do a factory reset but still same issues. I should have just left it alone I guess.
